D3 question

First, were you taking prescription D at 50,000 IU? I ask because that's the common prescription amount, but that is D2, not D3.
Second, you would have to look on your Calcium Citrate supplement to see the amount of D3 (aka Cholecalciferol) that is in it. There's no way to know how much is in it without reading the label as they all vary. For example, if you are taking Celebrate Calcium Plus 500, there are 333 IU per tablet. Citracal +D3 has only 250 IU per TWO tablets. So, in each of those cases, you would need to take more D3 than what the calcium supplement supplies.
Again, you will need to read your supplement bottle to be certain.
I take either Celebrate's Dry D3 -- 5000 IUs once per week, or I take Nature Made Chewable Grape D3 with 1000 IUs every other day -- just depends what is cheaper when I buy it. I aim to keep my levels between 80 and 100.

I use dry D because we malabsorb fats/oils - -and I was told dry D is better.
I order Celebrate D3 from https://www.celebratevitamins.com/vitamin-d-5000-orange-90-d ay.html
and the Nature Made D3 from https://www.amazon.com/Nature-Made-Adult-Chewable-Tablets/dp /B005D0DUMM
I maintain between 80 and 100 this way. 82 actually seems like an excellent number -- is there a reason they want you to lower that??

How does that compare to your last level? 82 is not horrible, many of us strive for that. You could take the 50k every other week and get it checked again. I don't think 2k per day would do anything for me tbh. You definitely don't want to fall down to the 30 they think is normal!!!!!!
