1 Yr post-op visit
May 16 will be my 1 year surgiversary, and today was my office appointment with the surgeon's office.
I haven't had my labs done yet, because coffee , I wasn't fasting when I got to the office this afternoon. I'll have blood drawn tomorrow morning and get the results back next week. My prealbumin was low at 6mos, so I'm hoping my increased efforts will show up in the test results. If not, I'll be switching to another protein (again). I also didn't have ferritin drawn pre-op, so I'm curious to see if that came up, since it was 37 at 6 months post-op. I've always been borderline anemic, so I've tried very hard to get that back up. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
According to the scale, I weighed in at 117.0 for a BMI of 23.6. Total fat percent is 21.7%, or 25.5lbs of fat. It's amazing to me that just 1 year ago I was sitting at 45% body fat! I feel pretty good as far as general health goes. Other than that pesky fibroid tumor that's coming out Wednesday, that is, I haven't felt this good in YEARS!
BEST. DECISION. EVER!
Happy Friday, everyone. :)
