Bars taste good to me too but definitely make me crave carbs and just food in general more. Bars are gone and cravings basically are too.

Good morning JB and crew! Happy Friday!

QOTD: definitely when I was just out of high school and decided to sell encyclopedias door to door. I spent the entire summer being driven around he county so I could knock on doors trying to sell a $600 set of encyclopedias. Dates me, I know. It was waaay before computers and the internet. Encyclopedia Brittanica. I made one drop sale all summer (drop sale being that I could not even sell a full set and they did not want the extras). I peed on myself once when I could not find a bathroom or someone to let me in theirs. It was a lovely summer.

B: Premier Protein chocolate with coffee and Miralax

L: Spaghetti squash with chicken marinara sauce

D: TJ chicken wings, 4, salad with bleu cheese ranch

S: beef jerky coins, diet cran something in water

JB have such a great time in Paris! Macarons are just wonderful.

Happy Friday! And JB, post away! So jealous of your trip and can't wait to see lots of pictures. I'm two days away from the Tinker Bell 1/2 marathon, so if you can all send me "run strong, don't die" vibes on Sunday morning, I'd appreciate it. I'm really glad this week is over. Yesterday afternoon my building was on lockdown because a woman made her way to the roof (25 stories up), sat down on the edge and threatened to jump. She was up there for a while and it gave me a lot of time to think. I figure if you're not sitting up there next to her threatening to jump, you're having a pretty decent day. On the bright side, they were able to talk her down and take her to the hospital where hopefully she'll get the mental health help she needs. Finally, Happy Third Surgiversary to me! It's been a crazy ride, but I wouldn't go back to my old life if given the chance.

JBQOTD - I worked for a female partner who was an extreme micro manager. As an example, she looked at me one day and said "I need you to send a letter to XXXXX telling them the deposition will take place on Wednesday the 22nd at 10:00 at the Liberty Mutual Building. We should meet at 8:30 at the Starbucks on the corner of XXX and YYY to prep. Please let me know if you have any questions." followed by "do you think you can handle that?" I waiting a minute, looked at her and said "No." Dealing with her was the closest I ever came to a nervous breakdown. One night driving home I started to cry and could not stop for the next 8 hours. I was on the phone with a friend who made me pull off the freeway so I could be rescued, because she was afraid for my safety. I quit that job via email that was drafted while I was sitting in my therapist's office.

My plan:

B: 2.83 oz ground turkey; 4 pea pods, .5 oz cheddar cheese

S: latte

L: chicken breast from Pollo Loco probably (I didn't pack anything and it's across the street from my building

S: Sliced ham and cheddar cheese stick

D: the great Friday ??????

Happy THIRD Surgiversary! Whooo!

The scenario at your awful job sounds so much like what it was like to work for the crazy boss I mentioned. Only she didn't micromanage the details just the outcomes, so she would give a huge project with no direction and then scream when every detail was not what she imagined (but hadn't told anyone). I am actually shivering just thinking about her.

Sending the best Tinkerbell happy vibes on your run! I bet you will just float :)
