I AM APPROVED!!
I just got the call... I have been approved by my insurance for the Lap Band to RNY revision!! I am so excited to this darn band out! I am afraid of complications, as there are always chances for complications.
Does anyone know what type of anesthesia that is most normally used anymore. I know when I have the upper and lower scopes, they always use Propofol.. which is soo great because I never get nauseous from it.
I am over the moon thrilled.

Congratulations!
Don't worry about the complications....just get ready to feel better!
For my revision, they used Propofol and I did not have any related side effects like nausea. It worked very well for me.

That's great news!
Talk to your surgeon about the anesthesia, and if there are options available.
The complication rate is about exactly the same as gallbladder or appendix surgery. So it's pretty low.
You'll do great.
