What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Not to sound super creepy, but I definitely had a dream about you last night (only you looked totally different, but I knew it was you)!
The gist was that you wrote something on the boards about baking chocolate chip cookies, and Grim joked back that we were on our way. But then he totally mortified me by actually making us go to your house.
You were having a big party and there were a million people there and I was trying to shrink into the walls because I was super embarrassed that we were there. Oh, but I DID eat a cookie in my dream and it was delicious ;)
I think I got too much sleep...
If I ever have a big party or even a little one you and Grim would totally be welcome!! I'd probably have to give you an address though.

Ok, but we will be expecting chocolate chip cookies, now ;)
Good morning and happy tuesday. I didn't read the rest of the so I don't know if this has been covered, but JB, how did your Dr. appt. go? I think resting your achilles is a good idea. I went to the park last night and ran an easy 4.5 miles. It might be my last run until the 1/2 marathon on Sunday (I'll cross train the rest of the week. . . spin class tonight). Now all I have to do is put together that run 2 more times in a row and I'll be golden!
JBQOTD: I'm Lucy all the way. She embodies my personality. I'm partial to the Peanuts anyway. Apparently, snoopy and I share the same birthday (different year) In researching my birthday, my mother ran across a strip where the rest of the gang was giving snoopy a surprise party on August 10. So it's always been my comic strip.
I'm 3 days shy of my 3 year surgiversary (if we still count my VSG)
My Plan:
B: Turkey (3.75 oz) and cheddar (.5 oz)
L: Chicken breast (3.7 oz) and Broccoli
D: Sauteed shrimp and asparagus (or shrimp on a homemade ceasar salad)
S: Latte, Sliced turkey breast and a cheddar cheese stick or a light and fit
E: Spin class tonight

A fellow Lucy/Leo. Yesss!
Funny you should ask--I just got a call back from the PCP to tell me that my thyroid results came back perfect. So that's the good news. Bad news is that it is still unclear what is causing all the weird symptoms. But the HR monitor that I am wearing caught a few spikes yesterday when I was sitting still and it went into the 130s. So maybe that will give them something to work with. I a little bit regret working from home (bed) today because I think it might skew the HR, but I need to choose which body part I am healing/day. Yikes.
Hi everyone,

QOTD- Hobbes for sure!
Yesterday I made the classic mistake of going to a new grocery store where I don't know the products or layout. I came home with a bunch of "yogurt" which, it turns out, isn't Yogurt at all! After looking at price per oz. and sugar content I found a great deal on "yogurts" with only one g of sugar and 9g of protein. I bought ten various flavors (10 for $4). They're "carbmaster" brand and they add an active culture to what is otherwise basically a pudding mix of whey (good of course) and other milk bi-products, gelatin, etc... It's not total garbage by any stretch, just not what I thought I was getting. I'm probably most salty over the first container that I ate last night. I thought it was blueberry, but it was actually blueberry muffin and tasted way too sweet! I'll probably go back to plain Greek and regular yogurts for awhile... especially now that fresh fruit is coming back into season!
Having gone grocery shopping yesterday I should be all ready for week of packing my snacks and lunch... one would think... But I'm still responding to my 20 year history of constant dieting by purchasing foods that made sense six months ago but are not helpful post WLS.
