the physical therapy appt went well. I've seen several therapists over the years for different things, but this guy really stood above the rest. He gave me a bunch of exercises to do, and said there was no reason I couldn't go back to Aqua Zumba. YAY!! I'll be going back to see him every two weeks for the next couple of months. Hope this helps!
QOTD: I don't follow comics, but I used to read Tom Tomorrow religiously ("This Modern World"). It's mostly political stuff.

hi all
Will start with QOTD: I grew up an archie comic kid. mom would buy us the comic books at the grocery store. I have hundreds at my moms house in her basement. My middle sister and i were obsessed. I liked veronica even though she was a snotty rich girl. I like the down to earth nature of betty. My sister was obsessed with redheads from an early age and married one and ended up with two ginger headed kids. adorable.
scale is UP today )125.4), must have been all the salt. I made shrimp taco with romaine as the 'shell' last night. I did figure out something interesting. When I eat spicy/fermented foods I don't crave the sugar as much. thought that an interesting find.
older hens in their coop last night- they have NOT come out yet! hopefully they will this morning. Any tips would be appreciated. I put one thing of food and their water is outside so the really need to move their butts to the run part and out of the coop but they are scared i think
Food for today:
Breakfast: decaf/gizzards/curry ketchup?
leftover shirimp
dried fish
Give them water and food inside for a few days. Water is so important to them (and us). Go out there with them, pull them out, and show them how to go back in... they probably have no idea what's going on. Is there a flap at the opening or just a door? Is there a ramp for them to climb up and down?
They'll start coming out eventually, but in the meantime, be momma chicken and show them the way LOL

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is my birthday, and those who are close to me know that I stopped celebrating them when I turned 30 because I am vapid enough to dislike getting older. However- today the scale decided to give me a nice gift: I have lost exactly 50lbs! Woohoo! I am very excited!
B: protein and kale shake
L: 1/2 lime burger + 1oz goat cheese+ 1oz avocado
S: Fuzzy Navel protein shake
D: Tri Tip

Happy birthday! Celebrate! Life is short, and every birthday is a gift. Don't think about it as getting older. Think about it as a celebration of you and your life. Take it from a cancer survivor. Not everyone gets the opportunity to honor birthdays.
