Just got my surgery date!
on 5/8/17 4:57 pm
June 12 is my date! I am simultaneously thrilled and terrified! Next week I will start my pre-op diet. The doc only requires 2 weeks, but I figure why not give it a month? I also still need the hospital to tell me how much if anything I need to pre-pay (the hospital is in network). I'm nervous! But happy!
Congratulations! Certainly normal to feel a wide range of emotions. I know I did. You're in for a greT ride. Enjoy it.

Congratulations!!! That is sooooo exciting! (And yep, I get that it's terrifying. I expect I'll feel the same way when my time comes!).
Woohoo. Bring on this new amazing phase of your life!
Congrats on your date. There seem to be two theories on pre-op eating. Either eating all the foods that you won't be able to eat afterward, or starting the new diet beforehand. I figured that if I was making the commitment to the new way of life that I'd go ahead and start right away. I'm glad that I did.
The time will pass quickly.
