I'm shrinking away to nothing...
I had to stay out of the woods for a couple of Thanksgivings.

I didn't wait: At my age even if there was some adjustment it wouldn't be enough. Like Grim I had to be careful at Thanksgiving. I had a facelift (and TT). They were well worth the cost which was less than I expected (I decided to do it when I had the consultation and realized it was pretty close in $ to the driveway we put in last year - I figured I was worth a driveway).

I know of some herbal appetite stimulants that really work well. They're even 100% legal in some states!

I wish I had five dollars for every post I have read like this over the years. Seriously. Enjoy it now, because when your malabsorption honeymoon ends, you will look back at this and shake your head. Really. And, this is coming from someone who hasn't yet dealt with any regain -- I promise you, you will not disappear. Your new challenge will be to keep from being the statistical norm of bounce back.
You do need to suck it up and find a way to eat the correct amount of protein. That's part of the "work" of learning to change our relationship with food: it doesn't matter if you "like" it or not. Food is no different than medication or supplements. You intake it to make your body run correctly... not for a pleasing pass-time. Eating food for enjoyment/fun/entertainment is the obese person's way of seeing food.
What everyone before me has said is 100% accurate. Also, as an added reassertion: my husband is 5'10.5" and ranges from 150 to 158. He is not "skinny" and has in fact, an absolutely perfect BMI.

Taking a wild guess at your age, this chart shows you to be smack dab in the middle of "normal" or "healthy" on the age- and sex-adjusted BMI chart. I'm tempted to call shenanigans on your assertion that you are too thin.

Agreeing with what has been said... I am sure you are 'thin' but 'too thin' is different. BMI is generic, so if you are really concerned go find a place to have a bodyfat Dexascan. That will give you the most accurate measurement of your bodyfat.

I started at 287 (HW). My goal was 185 (I'm 5'11"). Then it was 179. Now I'm at 169.
The problem is nothing really tastes good. My food falls into 3 categories: I hate it. I tolerate it. I like it OK but not really (very few things in this category). One nurse said I'm at the upper end of "normal" on the BMI scale. I told her I'm in the middle of the "too thin" category when you look at the BMI that takes age and sex in to account.
How do I stop losing weight. I'm done! Tell me how...
Go get a few snicker bars that will help with stopping the weight loss. Full size ones not the mini one bite things. You can always add some chips and salsa along with the snickers.
I always thought the big ones were the One Bite size.
