Good morning all -

Woke up to go to the bathroom so thought I would get my posting done for the day.

I gripe about having to drive 40 minutes to and from work, I don't know how you can handle 6 hours...wow I really feel for you.

My scale has been being really nice to me the last few days. I will hit 2 month post surgery this week so I hope it continues to be nice.

QOTD: I use my phone as my alarm. I sleep like the dead so I have it set on Extreme Alarm. It is a lot of annoying noises going off all at once - normal alarm beeping, rooster crowing, police car siren, fire truck siren, etc. There are times I still sleep through it for 10 -20 minutes before hearing it.

Menu:

B - Protein shake

L - 3 ounces Shrimp, 1 Tbsp ****tail sauce

D- Salmon Burger, 1/2 green beans

S- Triple Zero Greek yogurt

Calories - 645, Protein - 111, Carbs - 25

Hope everyone has a great week!!

I know! But I need to know more about this extreme alarm... my 17yo daughter needs it on her phone!

Is it an extra app?

It is an app I believe I found it on Zedge (free). You can also set it so that you have to answer a math problem in order to shut it off or hit snooze. I use this too so that I have to be semi awake in order to shut it off.

Happy Monday. Ugh. JB - Hope your appointment goes well. I got the results from my urine collection and it's nothing good. My PTH is still high, my D is falling, even with supplementation, my calcium level is above 10 and there was calcium in my urine. I have a Dr. appointment on the 17th, but if I had to guess, it looks like I'm headed to surgery #4 in 4 years. My weekend was activity filled, as usual. I don't think I can remember a weekend where I had down time with nothing that needed to be done. The upcoming weekends are looking way worse, to be honest, so I guess I should have enjoyed it before the crazines****s. I have the tinker bell 1/2 marathon this coming weekend (which is freaking me out and my anxiety may or may not be the subject of a whole other post today) and the following weekend is insanely busy. My friend's daughter is graduating, so I have the ceremony on Saturday. Saturday night I'm going to the Lumineers/U2 concert, then once I drop my friend off, I'll drive to the friend whose daughter graduated so I can help cook/set up for the celebration brunch on Sunday. We're cooking brunch for 30 people. I suggested frittatas, so after the concert, we will be doing all the prep work, so I'll we'll have to do the next morning is actually cook everything. I'll need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

JBQOTD - I use my iphone and have an app that plays music. I like it because it starts low and gets progressively louder until you get up and turn that sucker off.

My plan:

B: 2 eggs, .5 oz cheese

S: Latte

L: chicken breast, broccoli (If room, the chicken usually fills me up)

S: either ham and cheese or a yogurt, depending when I get hungry and if I talk myself out of going running

D: Tri tip, artichoke

More water than I usually drink, I make sure to hydrate like crazy the week of a race.

oh wow - I am so sorry to hear about your test results. What kind of surgery do they even do for that?

I had that done. On me they just removed the enlarged one (we have four****pt breaking bones, sometimes while just standing there a bone would snap. Since having the swollen parathyroid removed - no more broken bones! Good luck with the surgery! HUGS!
