What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
on 5/7/17 7:13 am
Morning! Had a super great day yesterday, and more fun today. Grim is with a buddy watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this morning, then we are heading to my folks house for lunch. For that reason, my menu is a little up in the air, but mom knows that Grim only eats meat, so I am sure it will be 100% protein forward :)
QOTD: Ahhh, that seems to depend on the week. Recently it has been too many little unaccounted for little bites that sneak in and derail my planning and push carbs over the edge. Other weeks I have struggled with hydration or exercise. Luckily I haven't yet had a week where it is all a struggle, but I am sure that's coming.
B: Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Coffee & 2.5 slices of bacon
S: hard boiled egg
L: ?? lunch at my parent's house
D: burger? steak? leftover meatballs? not sure...
Exercise: nothing--still resting the achilles before Paris (one week!)
Vitamins: Patches (Iron, Multi & D3)
Well, we've got leaves here, leaves! Winter's really over at last and everyone rejoices. Kind of gloomy out but that just means I won't overheat when I try running later today :)
QOTD: While I get plenty of workouts in, I would like to incorporate even more movement in my day. No more ice on the trails as an excuse (hooray), so I want to get a walk or run in at least once a day outside this summer, rain or shine.
Menu ~
B: 1 scoop Isopure zero carb shake made with water
L: 3 oz. roasted chicken breast with mixed greens; chunky salsa for dressing
D: 3 oz. slow cooked top round steak, 1 organic cheese stick; 1 oz pickled veg
S: 8 oz bone broth
Ex: Insanity Max workout this morning, a 30-minute walk/run this evening
Vitamins: Every last one of them:)
**Stats: Protein 88 / Carbs 17 / Calories 720
Hope everyone has a terrific Sunday, and a great week!
Good morning! We also got rain last night but his morning it is just a bit drizzly. Hubby has to work an annual fundraiser most of the day today so not much planned. Will be heading to church here in a few.
QOTD: Honestly it would be getting carried away by useless carbs at times. I handful of crackers, chips and even a few too many protein bars on occasion.
Menu for today: B: latte, eggbeaters, turkey sausage links, and 1/2 an orange L: 4 oz pork loin and baby carrots S: latte, buddig meat pack, yogurt and Brazil nuts D: 3 oz BBQ steak, green beans and SF Jello.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Good Morning Everyone,
The sun is peeping out and I might head to Costco for a few things--all protein! I can officially have solid foods as of Friday.
QOTD: Understanding how carbs affect me with RNY. I had my first dumping "episode" from 1/2 protein bar and it was h*ll! Unfortunately, I was at work and felt like crap for 3-4 hours. No more protein bars for me.
M1-lots of chai with 1/2 vanilla protein shake
M2-turkey sausage with dannon light & fit greek yogurt
M3-45g of trail mix-all nuts
M4- turkey sausage with cottage cheese
M5-more chai with 1/2 vanilla protein shake
Fluids-on track
Vitamins-yes, yes
Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone,
Busy day doing all my cooking for the week. Grilling and cooking inside too.
QOTD: As Fozzie said goes for me too. Noticing how quick my tastes for food come and go. Also learning early on thank yo the vets to stay away from the carbs. And increasing my water. Now I'm up about 150oz a day.
b: 2eggs, slice of cheese, 2slices bacon
L: 2 1/2 oz turkey breast
Rest of the not sure yet but it will protein.
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

I am impressed with the amounts of water you are able to get in. I struggle to get my 70 - 80 ounces in.

Thanks Dixie! I am lucky enough to have always been a big water drinker. When I was a kid my parents always had a pitcher of ice water on the table with dinner. We were not allowed to have surgery drinks. Our refrigerator only had water, unsweetened iced tea and milk. I never been a milk drinker accept for with cookies and cereal. None of which I eat anymore so no milk for me. Boy, I miss cookies! LOL!
Edited to fix typo.
