Looking for those who had surgery 15+ years ago to connect with.

I had surgery back in 1999 at the clinic in Belvidere Illinois. How they preform the route n Y gastric bypass back then compared to what they do now. Id like to compare results and side effects if any. To talk about how the skin reacted .... did you have surgery to remove the excess? Any regrets? Would you do it again if you could go back? Stuff like that. Hoping to hear from some people

Hello... I will be 15 years Post Op on Aug 22, 2017. I can't believe it's been that long already but I am very happy with my results. I would crawl back to my wonderful Dr McDonald if I ever needed anything and still see him yearly. I hope you're doing well, askany questions you'd like, I'm an open book...

Thank you those *****sponded, I never had skin removed and figured one day it work shrink or tighten... But never did. I get ashamed at times when i look at mysrlf in the mirror... I resemble a melted candle. I dont regret the surgrey but wish i would of worked out more and drank more water.

I have a had time drinking water... Real cold actually hurts my stomach. I havent thrown up since 1999... It gets as far as the lower throat and thats it (it sucks when u have the flu, id rather puke) its very painful. I am a diabetic now, have to take B12 shots and monitor my iron.
