A big reason I am ready for the surgery is because I want to take my dog for long walks. I know we'll both be happier and healthier for it. I take her out 3 or 4 times a day now... but sometimes only for 5 minutes, sometimes a 20 minute stroll. I want to walk walk walk!! And run with her!! We both deserve it!!

It's one of the most exciting parts of the weight loss--being able to move quickly, easily and without pain. Most times now if I need something from the store here in town I walk. Hubby always asks why I don't drive it's faster. My answer--because I can. And I remember those days when I couldnt.

This picture is older; I need to take a new dog walking picture, I've lost some more weight since this picture. But I LOVE taking my Blossom (large mixed breed) and Tippy (Chihuahua) for walks! I try to go for a walk with Blossom every day, even during winter. (We missed a few days due to bitter cold or snow, but went most of the days). Tippy only likes to go along during nice weather. If I skip a day of walking I really miss it. Blossom is a rescue dog from a shelter and Tippy's owner died and she needed a new home so she's a rescue of sorts, too. I adore my doggie babies!

Lucy will be my first and last terrier/ist. She is smart but uses her good for evil!

I love my little fluff ball. She definitely gets me off the couch. I walk her 3 times a day and take her on special adventures on the weekend. We do this year round.

Our dog is too crazy to walk, so my fitbit keeps me on track. Here is my little one with our crazy dachshund Rosie...

It's a shame Rosie has no toys.

Cute pic!

I walk about an hour a day with my dogs-- I know I wouldn't walk that much without them! They also provide so much unconditional love that they are part of my support system.
