Love that pic! TY for sharing! I am sooo jealous of the beach and wish I could go to the beach. Last time I was on a beach was on our honeymoon 10 years ago.

Oh JB, so sorry about yesterday. The foot doctor sounds terrible and the whole food thing sounds disappointing. The good news is that today is a new day and then there is the weekend.

Yesterday started out like a relatively good day. I got in a short and a long walk that were nice. But after work I went to see the neurologist with my wife and he says that she has blown a disk. He wants her to have another MRI so he sent us to his favorite hospital (which is all the way across the city and can be a horrible drive) to get one. When my wife gets there, they say that they don't do walkins, and we will have to make an appointment. The good thing in the midst of it was that I didn't have anything for dinner in all of the running around, so I chose to take a few minutes to stop at the grocery and bought some deli turkey. I ended up driving around munching on turkey so I didn't go without food. I was proud that I thought of it taking care of myself.

Today is completely up in the air since we will be at the mercy of finding another MRI location, but I want to get in a walk and I still have leftover turkey to take with me if I need to.

In other good news, the scale is moving again and I am down another pound.

Breakfast: egg whites, turkey bacon

Snack: Apple Ecstasy protein shake

Lunch: deli turkey

Snack: cottage cheese with unsweetened applesauce

Dinner: Mahi mahi burger with TJ's Puttanesca sauce

Exercise: I hope to get in a walk

Can you not take patches with NSAIDS either? I mean, if the risk factor is that it can cause ulcer, the patches don't go in your stomach? I really don't know, that's why I ask. I know they say no steroids, but you can have inhaled and injected steroids (I did ask about that because I have asthma and sometimes need inhaled steroids or a steroid shot for that).

I haven't had a very good couple of days. Sigh. We have been super busy which always equals trouble for me. Yesterday we were hardly home at all. Today we are, I'm looking for a better day! My college kiddo comes home this weekend, and my 8yo has her first communion on Sunday.

Wow, half my post deleted when I posted it. Grrr. Let me try AGAIN!

Good question, Cathy! I've wondered the same thing myself. I'll be interested to see what the vets have to say about this.

You cant do NSAID patches either. the way the patch works is it enters your blood stream and then it still will access your stoma which is what we don't want. My doctor wanted to prescribe an NSAID lotion and the surgeon said no but if I had to have it I needed to take some OTC ingestible.
