What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?

I love the expectant faces they have in that middle picture. I make the same face when I am hoping for treats!
I had to do my menu separate because I am tech challenged and was having issues with the pics, lol.
My 1 year appt went well yesterday and I have lost over 100% of my excess body fat the doctor said. She was quite impressed and I told her, and a couple other people that were there looking into the program, what a great help OH was. My labs were great except my Vitamin D was still a little low and she wants me to up my Otc Vitamin D to 2 -1,000 tabs a day.
Menu:
Breakfast: egg, ham and cheese scramble
Lunch: Turkey and cheese rollups
Dinner: Beef fijita and lettuce salad

Nice job! I also had lost more than 100% of my excess weight at my one year - somehow that didn't seem statistically possible, but I guess it is!

Yes, the nurse said it is very rare. She said that generally people lose approx. 70-75% of their excess body fat after a RNY. She seemed exstemely impressed with my loss and I just said that I keptD focused and followed the plan. Of course, I couldn't say enough praise about the OH site and how helpful it is.

I was Vit D deficient for over a decade pre-WLS and no matter what I did it never went up even at 5,000mg a day. When I first had my surgery I discovered liquid VitD3 at the Vitamin Shoppe, and that was the winner. I slowly increased it based on bloodtests. Believe it or not I take 20,000mg a day- I obviously don't absorb any VitD well. When I added the Multivitamin patch it has D in it as well(5,000mg), so that raised my D even more. so now I sit in the 70-80 range which is considered perfect.
When I went to Hawaii, I bought the Vit D3 Patches just for convenience. I used them for 2 weeks, and happened to be going for a blood test right when I got back- and in just 2 weeks on them my Vit D was just over the high mark- 110, whereas 100 is considered the top of the range....not toxic, but the Doc wanted a retest after I went back to my normal routine....and it was back down to like 86.
I also get 2,000 from the calcium patch.... So yes it takes alot of vit D to get me in optimal range.
So just a though- Liquid or Patch might work better.

Congrats! What criteria does your surgeon use to determine percent of excess body weight lost? Different people determine it different ways.
Many of us get down to a normal BMI but not all of us stay here.
Keep fighting the good fight!!

I hate when doctors don't listen (on the NSAID script). Very worrisome about the heart rate spikes. I hope they get to the bottom of that soon!
I am totally exhausted after a marathon trip to Chicago. I got home at 2:30 am this morning but had to be up at 6 am to take DH for an Alzheimer's clinical trial pre-screen in Boston.
My picture is one I took of a sign last week - I collect mermaids and really like the sentiments on this one!
SO GLAD TO GET TO A NORMAL MENU, though I did eat pretty protein forward during my trip and ended up .5 pounds lower than my usual range.
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Taco Salad? (Cinco de Mayo)
S: protein bars, cheese sticks
