Believe it or not, it was a cigarette commercial - a cigarette for women - I think called Eve. The jingle went "you have your own cigarette now baby, you've come a long long way".

Yup Virgina Slim's.... I used to smoke them.

About 20 years ago, I was playing Trivial Pursuit with friends that rocked at that game (me, not so much). I got a question about this quote, and I actually knew the answer! I was so excited to actually Win a pie!

Happy Friday! Hope you all have a great weekend. We are spending time with friends who are visiting from Alaska. Looking forward to bouncing around the Hill Country and enjoying the sites like a tourist.

Photo Friday:

Me recovering from my internal hernia repair surgery last weekend. I have been much more exhausted than I expected but am feeling pretty good. Only three little incisions. The surgeon knew I really wanted to protect as much of my recent tummy tuck results as possible and he even managed to avoid my belly button! I am really happy about that. Just a few scars...I am sure they can Photoshop those out should I ever decide to do a Playboy cover. LOL

Menu: B & L are the usual...Greek yogurt with granola and freezer treat of Enchilada Chicken Soup; D: will be out at a BBQ place so likely lean brisket.

Accountability: Back down to 125 this morning. I think the swelling is still going down from the surgery so that is nice. Smoke free and really grateful that I am. I don't miss it most days.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Pretzel Thins are another one of those 'devil-created' foods... I avoid them because if I put one in my mouth, 20 more will surely follow...

I did really well yesterday with my eating. Ended up at the horse racetrack for a couple of hours, and ordered wings for dinner... still enough for lunch today! Win! And I merely watched all the other ladies devour the TWO desserts at our table. I only used the free $5 voucher I got (ladies night), and didn't win. Horse racing doesn't really do a thing for me, but the friend time is worth it, and I do like to look at the horses!

Pictures today... we lost our sweet old boxer named Shelley on Sunday. This was my hubby and I sitting with her just before we had her put down. I know it's kind of sad, but I just love this picture, and it shows just how tired Shelley was, and that we did the right thing. Cancer sucks!!!

The second picture is of Shelley's sister, Uma (white boxer) and our Foster dog we've had for a couple of weeks. With Uma being deaf, her sister had become her ears so to speak. Uma has really been missing Shelley, and I'm sure she's just lost without her. Uma rarely warms up to the Foster's we have, so when Hubby caught her on the couch napping with Rebel, it made our hearts warm. Here's to hoping Rebel is the right dog for a companion for Uma, and we get to keep her! (Rebel is the black and white one, and she's a HUGE boxer! Will be close to 85lbs after she gets back up to weight... perfect disposition, and I fell in love with her even before she showed up at our house.

Make your weekend count! Get out and DO something new and fun! Experiences taste better than food!

B: 1.7oz of beef jerky and a cheese stick

L: At the office, but a BBQ place is catering... meat meat meat

D: It's Cinco De Mayo... and nobody seems to care but me! I don't know what I'll make but I will try to make it Mexican fun and WLS friendly!
