It's PhotoFriday! Post 'em if you got 'em! Nothing for me. You will all be so sick of my face when I start posting my Paris pics, so I'll spare you until then.

My eating was a wreck yesterday. I did not have time to eat a steak or the other nice things I packed while I was driving from appointment to appointment and by the time I got to work, my marathon meeting was already in session. I ate a whole bunch of those pretzel thins--mostly to stuff my mouth full of enough food so that I wouldn't say all the inappropriate things that were running through my head during this presentation! No really, lol.

My calories for the day stayed under 800, but I was way off on my plan and macros. Not awesome for someone who is supposed to be buckling down on losing right now.

Ok, quick update on a few of my doctor's appointments. 1.) My PCP was pretty horrified to see the Apple Watch stats on my heart-rate (lots of spikes up to 215 while I was sitting still), and is getting me hooked up to a wearable heart monitor next week. 2.) The foot doctor was an idiot--please use this as a cautionary tale! I told him no NSAIDS, and he growled. Then proceeded to prescribe me a pain relief patch that was totally an NSAID! If I hadn't googled it, I would not have known. So instead I went to Target and found an over the counter lidocaine patch and it is already helping. I also have to drive all the way back to another one of his other offices today to get a nighttime splint to wear.

Good morning Grimberry and everyone!

Sounds like a rough day at work and the doctor's yesterday. What part of no Nsaids did the doctor not understand! I have had experiences like that in the past.

I hope the pics of my 4 furbabies cheer you up this morning. The first is our Jumpin' Jack Flash...our little tv watcher. The next is on top Bruiser Boy and below him Buttercup (which is the mommy of the other babies). Last is Little Miss Bailey...our little yodeler of the group.

They are Austrailian Silky Terriers (also called just Silky Terriers now), which is a combination of a Yorkshire Terrier and an Australian Terrier.

Nope, no shedding. Their hair is like humans. They do need a lot of grooming though and I taught myself to do their grooming instead of taking them to the groomers. I generally keep their hair longer , very long and silky, but decided to clip them short for the summer. Of course, Jumpin' Jack is alway kept shorter because his hair is sooo fine. He is very touchy about his hair because of his past.

Buttercup had 5 babies total and we sold 2 of the girls, went to excellent forever homes. Jack was also sold when he was 8 weeks old. Although I interviewed the families well before I allowed them to go to new homes, Jack's new family mistreated him. I talked to the other 2 families all the time checking on the girls and they sent pics. Everything was going great. With Jack, I could never reach the new family...they didn't answer my calls or e-mail..which concerned me. Finally after the end of the first year, the husband finally answered the phone. He said they were having all these problems with Jack and we're giving him away. Well!! I stopped him right there and reminded him that they signed a contract that for whatever reason they no longer wanted the fur baby, they would come back to me. So I made arrangements to pick him up. I was mortified when my husband and I pick him up...his hair was so badly matted and he looked petrified. Jack leaped into my husband's arms and away we went. I was soooo furious, but didn't want to end up in jail for slugging the guy so we just left. It took me hours to clip him down because he was matted down to his skin. My poor baby boy. So anyway, he is now very touchy about his hair so I keep him short. After that experience, I am very protective of my babies.

I would have slugged him and been in jail for sure. At least Jack is getting love now.

Oh, Charlene, I'm so glad you got Jack back and that he's now in a loving home! Poor baby.

All your fur babies are so precious and adorable!!!

I'm so glad you got him back. I have two good friends who are cat breeders, and I've heard a few stories like this. They also vet potential owners well, but occasionally you make a mistake. One of them wanted to get me into cat breeding, but I didn't want to do it because of this. I'd want all the kittens to go to friends and family so I'd know how they were. Obviously, I'd run out of owners pretty quickly!!
