What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I just had Sheeetz coffee this weekend when I was in Jersey. Nope. Sheetz wins!

QOTD: We have a combination Caribou Coffee/Einstein Bagels that's on my way to work, so I probably stop there five times a week. So I guess I'd have to say Caribou. I also don't mind McDonald's coffee - I drink it when I'm on the road. I'd like to like Starbuck's, but it does a number on my stomach - too much acid, I guess.
23 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, flaxseed, strawberries
S: coffee with half & half, strawberry cheesecake protein shake
L: cottage cheese, orange
D: meeting a friend - we're going to either a Japanese or Thai place, so I should be able to find something "safe"
probably another Greek yogurt - although I need to watch it. My weight is up another pound this morning, but I think I'm just "full of it" :-)
Good luck with the position changes! Also, you can survive life without coffee! I'm 5 months without (I have it up pre-surgery) and I was a 5 cups a day kinda girl. I miss it terribly though! And I am a west cost, Starbucks girl all day long.
B: 1.5scoops chocolate unjury+ 1 cup fairlife milk+ 1/4 cup kale smoothly
L: Buffalo Tuna Pack
S: 1.5 scoops of Fuzzy Navel protein+ water
D: P3 protein pack

Good morning everyone. It is supposed to be another sunny day near 80 for us. JB- exciting times for you! Change is good, but nerve wracking at the same time.
QOTD- I don't really buy coffee. I have 2 cups of french roast at home. I buy my coffee at Costco and I really enjoy it. If I am out and about and get something from a coffee shop, I usually get a cup of tea.
My menu was awesome yesterday. I stuck to it 100%. I see my surgeon on Monday and I am nervous. What if I haven't lost enough in her eyes?? I remember when I went in for my 2 week check up and I was down 5 lbs from surgery and told me that I was a slow loser and to lower my protein to 50 grams a day. I am so thankful for this board!
Menu for today-
B-3 chicken sausage and poached egg ( my fav breakfast, it really fills me up)
S- chomps beef stick
L- 4 oz shredded chicken with hot sauce
S- boiled egg
D- Trader Joes chili lime burger
Vitamins and lots of water
exercise- walking tonight with my husband
Calories-630, Protein- 80, Carbs-3
Hold your head high...you are doing great...if anything more protein helps us, not less...

You are doing great!! When I upped my protein the scale started move a bit more quickly. Remember everyone loses at different paces. I wish that I was further along too but I'm following my plan and the scale keeps moving.... sometimes it moves like a turtle! LOL! :)

Everytime I write down a menu it never really works out so the only thing exciting to report is that at some point I will attempt to get some sort of real protein in me. Too many carbs yesterday
The other night I had a PowerBar protein shake and it messed up my GI tract real good. My go to food when I don't feel well is chicken rice soup and I did have that yesterday. I almost ate 16 fl ounces over an hours time.
QOTD: I can't take the Starbucks scene. My wife is totally hooked on their "star system" so we go a few times a month. Every available seat is usually filled with a hipster/millennial and they're almost invariably on their laptop/tablet/phone. "This isn't a ??????? library!" is what I want to scream.
I love DD. Love the coffee. Love the donuts. Even love the rubbery egg sandwiches. And hipsters generally avoid it like the plague.
My favorite by far is a small chain called La Colombe. The pour over coffee is the best cup of joe I've ever had. They're mostly in Philly,NYC & DC but there's one across from South Station. (Seems to be a lot of Bostonians in here)
I love all the 'Hipsters' in the coffee shops... it's not just SB here, all the really small locally owned places are like little homes renovated, with fires going in the winter, and young fun people hanging out...
I just love the feel of a coffee shop filled with people working or relaxing, and I want a job where I can work out of the coffee shop all day long too!
I want to be young again!!!! (why is there not an emoticon of a face sipping a nice cup of coffee anyway?)
