What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Congrats on your surgiversary

I feel you on the clothes shopping. I generally do not spend much at all, I shop secondhand mostly but I'm sure my DH would like me to clean up the closet. It is a work in progress all the time.
I use almond/cashed milk unsweetened in my coffe and add protein powder also. or fairlife milk, or carbmaster milk to save on calories. I have the SF ID creamers but don't use them often because they are 20 cal for a tiny tiny amount
have to lower those calories to get the last few pounds off
Congrats on your one year! Tip is- just stick with it. I don't know how close you are to goal, but for me getting body fat testing a this point really helped. Made me realize I wasn't as far off as I thought. BMI charts are generic...
Another tip- Why are you eating a Protein Bar for dinner? Eat real food...unless you tell me you have a meeting you are at or something :) then I get it.
If you are having the coffee with International creamer once a day it is not killing your weight loss. If you are having it 5x a day... then yes....you might need to cut back on it. We tend to have all or nothing mentalities. I know I do...

Thank you so much for the tips. The protein bar for dinner was just a thought because I have some difficulty eating my dinner sometimes because my RLS med's tend to make me a little ill some evenings (and tired). I actually ended up having a P3 protein pack for dinner.
The coffee..I have 2 cups tops.
I also tend to have a all or nothing mentality also.

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
Our stats are so close, and my surgiversary is staring me in the face. I too want to lose another 10-12 pounds, and I've gotten into such a routine with my eating habits that it's hard to give up more to go the extra mile to get there. I'm giving myself a little time to ponder my journey I've decided, because I'm really struggling mentally with all of the changes. But it's about time to get on with it!
I know what to do, and how to do it thanks to all of the Vets here, honestly... now making myself actually do it seems to be the biggest battle

Morning!
so glad to hear things are working out with the new position. Hope it stays that way!
qotd: I've really been enjoying the iced decaf Americano at Starbucks recently. I add cream and sweetener. Not a dunkins fan. Or.....
shhhh... don't tell the other Canadians....Tim hortons. Their coffee is terrible to me. I can power through on a road trip, but honestly, McDonald's has solid coffee.
having said all that, I might buy coffee once a week, if that. More in the summer with iced coffee though...
menu:
B: premiere protein shake (surprise!)
L: mixture of leftover chicken and sausage
S: skyr with vanilla and bran buds
S2: cream cheese with sliced cucumber and everything bagel spice

As a fellow Canadian I have no shame in saying Tim Hortons is highly overrated... I've never understood the obsession. Blech....
