Good morning Everyone! It's Friday Eve!

For those of you following along with my work drama, I had some interesting developments yesterday! As I mentioned, even though I am being technically laid off, they are creating two jobs with me and my favorite co-worker in mind. The director position for me, and the manager position for her. Unfortunately, she is interested in the director position, too, so we have been sort of pitted against each other "Hunger Games" style, which feels awful and uncomfortable. I adore this coworker and have a ton of respect for her. She is much younger than me but she is not unqualified. Anyway, yesterday we had the nerve to ask whether the would consider co-director positions...and the initial reaction was very positive. Thank goodness! I really want this promotion but I don't want to do it by being a ****ty person who climbs over a friend's back to get it. Anyway, I am feeling a lot more relaxed and confident, today :)

I am posting late because I have a marathon of doctor's appointments this morning. First I am heading to the WLS office to pick up paperwork to become an official "mentor". Then off to my PCP to talk about my crazy peaks in heart rhythm, then to see another surgeon for a 6 month follow up, and last to the foot doctor to get some advice on how to take care of the achilles and b able to walk Paris. Phew. All this before 11am, then I need to get into work for a 4.5 hour meeting.

QOTD: As you know Daisy and I are both giving up coffee and frankly, I am still in mourning. Let me live vicariously and tell me your favorite coffee shop chain! I am from Boston so obviously I am partial t Dunkin Donuts, but recently they seem to have changed their roast and I really prefer Starbucks, these days.

Their coffee always tastes burnt to me... don't get me wrong. I still drink it. It's just not my fave. Anyway, I'm from NH. Not a true masshole.

Went well enough. They did my labs again because of my fatigue.

Zucchini bites are eggface's zucchini egg bites that I added 1 cup of vegetarian "chicken" to and cooked In the oven at 300 for 30 min over a pan of water. I made a batch like a month ago and froze most of them. Here's the recipe http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/03/another-bite.html

Good morning Grimberry and everyone!

Wow JB, talk about a doctor marathon...sounds exhausting!

I am glad they are considering co-positions, that would be great.

I go to my 1 year surgiversary appt at the Bariatric Center today. Yesterday was my 1 year surgiversary! I can't believe it has been a year since surgery. My weight was 142.4 this morning. Any tips on getting those last few pounds off? I know the closer I get to goal the harder it gets.

QOTD: I started drinking coffee again a couple months ago and wish I hadn't because I think I need to give it up also and coffee is a hard thing for me. I have been drinking Folger caramel drizzle with International coffee creamer. The creamer has a lot of extra calories that I certainly don't need though.... Just another thing I gotta give up and my husband wonders why I get on these clothes shopping spree. I think it is because of giving everything else up and clothes is the one thing that makes me happy now.

Menu:

Breakfast: egg, ham and cheese scramble

Lunch: beef fajita and lettuce salad

Dinner: protein bar maybe
