What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
My father died on a Saturday. We had a big court filing due the following week (and I was already going to be out for a day for a pre-planned hand surgery). When I called my boss to tell him about my father, he asked me to call opposing counsel to stipulate to an extension on the filing, and then to prepare the stipulation for submission to the Court. His rationale?? Opposing counsel was more likely to say yes to me since it was my father that died. My reaction? I told him he was an asshole for making me do that. I literally had to go into the office to get the filing prepared and submitted to the court . . . you know . . . in between planning my father's funeral.
And in case you were wondering, it was the same boss who was texting me in the recovery room about another court filing.

Good morning everyone. It is supposed to be in the 80's today in the PNW. I am excited. I see my surgeon next week for my 6 month check up. Its actually 2 weeks early. I am focusing on protein only and lots of water.
QOTD- I think the craziest diet I ever did was the Ideal Protein diet. It is similar to optifast. it is was 3 shakes a day and a lean and green dinner. Its great in theory, but so expensive. You were required to buy their vitamins and supplements too. My husband was deployed to Afghanistan and i was determined to surprise him when he came home. I lost about 50 lbs, but literally gained it all back plus!
I should of had the surgery years ago, but I think that I wasn't ready yet. My RNY surgery is the best thing that I have done for myself. My body likes eating low carb. It has helped tremendously with my PCOS symptoms.

B- 3 chicken sausage links, poached egg
L- 3 oz shredded chicken with hot sauce
S- chomps beef stick
D- some sort of grilled flesh.
Exercise- walking
