What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Hi all
Yesterday went into work really early so got off a little early. Worked on the chicken coop and the old ones will be going in by the weekend. Thank goodness because they are getting too crowded in their little brooder box. Will be sure to take some pics.
Dinner last night was ravioli and meatballs and fresh garden salad for DH (I did eat 1 of his ravioli) and I had a chocolate protein cake and some homemade yogurt on top. I figured if I was wanting 'chocolate' I should have it for dinner instead of late at night when the carbmonster is in full force. I will say that my evening snack was dried pollack from the asian store with pickled radish and some rotel on top. It sounds disgusting but I'm kind of obsessed about this dried fi**** is 60 calories for 2 oz which is a lot of fish because it is cut like noodles which adds to my delight of course. 15 grams prot and no carbs. I'm sure I will eat the rest of the package today, my stats yesterday were: 912 calories/142 prot/48 carb- weight 123.8 yesterday was weigh day, and again Friday.
QOTD: hmmm- grapefruit diet probably.
Have calls all day today :(
Good Morning! So glad you got a good nights sleep. Hope your meeting and coffee talks go well today. Today my housekeeper comes so I am going to browse Kohl's for a bit to use my 10.00 of Kohl's cash I have and I'll grab Panera for lunch while I am out. I have another 3 weeks off from work and I'm truly grateful that I was approved for the additional time, I still get tired in the afternoon and try and nap a little. I would also like the swelling to subside a bit more before I go back.
QOTD: The only one I can think of is eating Special K cereal for breakfast and lunch each day and then a normal dinner.

I am so glad you get to take good care of yourself and take the time to heal. I was albe to take 4 weeks off for revision, and even though I was probably okay at 2, I really appreciated the time to actually take care of myself. So rare, as an adult...
I got a whole 2 weeks for my revision (actually 8 days off of work since I had surgery over the 4th of July break)
The best was my original VSG. My boss was texting me while I was still in recovery room and was annoyed that I didn't respond quickly. My surgeon told me if he heard my phone beep one more time he was going to take it and throw it away. I needed peace to heal.
My boss was insane. I had already prepped a friend who was covering for me, all he had to do was ask her. I stopped answering his texts when I got yelled at.
The fitbit was funny too! When my surgeon came to check on me the day after my revision, I was out walking laps . . . with my fitbit . . . he was not amused.
When I was in the hospital a year and a half ago, I set my Fitbit record for steps. The low record. 232 steps in a day. That's a really hard record to break.
The mean nurse put the bed alarm on and wouldn't let me get out.

I was standing next to my coworker at her father's funeral when our boss approached her and asked when she was coming back. Seriously.
