Good morning JB and all of you beautiful menu buddies. It's rainy and cool here in Portland today, but is supposed to get up to 80 degrees tomorrow. I can't wait. The whole city can't wait. It's all anyone is talking about (except for the May Day riot that happened here yesterday, caused by anarchists that hijacked a peaceful protest. Idiots.).

Good job JB on sticking to plan. I, on the other hand, had some pasta for lunch yesterday at a new, trendy Chinese restaurant. I will look like the house in the Paris pics. The good news is that I can only eat a tiny bit of pasta because it fills me up so fast. Two bites and I am done. But the two bites were spectacular.

Today I am meeting a friend at a new, trendy Thai restaurant for lunch (I am sensing a pattern here). I checked the menu online, and they have some good meaty options. No pasta for me today, and luckily I am never tempted by rice.

My shopping trip to the Nike employee store was productive. I bought cute shoes for running around Paris and some work out clothes. Shopping for clothes at Nike is good ego training for shopping for clothes in Paris. They are cut small, and I wear a large (sometimes an XL) in Nike. I am a size 6/8, S/M in other clothes, so my ego always takes a bruising with Nike. I expect the same, or worse, in Paris. Ugh!

QOTD: I had a burger, sans bun, at a restaurant last week ( neither new, nor trendy). It came with a plate full of fries and I did not eat them. They sat there, all hot and crispy, taunting me. I resisted the little monsters. Next time I will remember to tell the server to leave off the bun AND the fries.

Uh, I don't think 2 bites of pasta is going to turn you into a house. It's the Cadbury Cream Eggs and Granola that were doing it to me... Well, maybe not a house but definitely a small cabin.

Last summer when my mom was in Paris she got me the cutest little top with the Eiffel Tower on it and bought it in a size small. Nope. The tower is supposed to be straight not lumpy, right? I am with you--mentally preparing to be back in plus size clothes for a week!

You guys had a May Day riot? I've always hoped to be at a May Day riot. I'm jealous.

A few more days without chocolate and I should be ready for a Cinco de Mayo Riot. Will that do?

Good morning RNY!

My last temptation was Auntie Anne's pretzels at the airport. Yes, I kept walking!!

I'm traveling today, so food is not really on my mind. So far though:

Coffee with protein powder.

P3 with a Chobai Greek yogurt

The initial plan for dinner is tacos, hopefully that doesn't change. There's this awesome taco place near my sisters house, and since she's moving down near me I won't have the opportunity to eat there again.

Lucky for me, tacos are so easy to get in a bariatric friendly version.

Good luck on the job JB!

Good morning! JB -Great job on sticking to your guns and getting closer to your goal! Another sunny warm day in the 80's today, yay!

I have a nasty throbbing nerve (sciatica) running down the back of my leg and it's killing me. It kept me up most of the night. I've been stretching as best I can but I can't seem to get any relief. I'm hoping pilates will help work it out tonight. Sitting is killing me so I will be getting tons of extra steps in today.

QOTD - The most recent thing I can think of that I had a really hard time with was on Easter. We had these gorgeous enormous macaroons from an amazing local bakery that were dipped in dark chocolate for dessert. I'm still trying to get over that. The looks on everyone's face as they took a bite killed me!!! I still dream about them.
