What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

I don't have a history of pre or diabetes.. I had my surgery in 2004 and was not plagued by RH until maybe the last few years...and I've only had several episodes (yuk)

My understanding is that there is no connection. I had no history, and while may RH isn't too bad, I definitely have had some incidents.

For me, my symptoms early out from surgery, were dizziness and exhaustion when I ate carbs (I mean like need to pull over to the side of the road and sleep, exhaustion). I also had one episode that felt like delayed dumping from a Hershey kiss, but I think was actually RH.

Now I actually have more RH symptoms on protein, only. I get so sleepy sometimes after I eat a protein dense meal. It almost feels like my body is working so hard to digest that it wipes me out for about 45 minutes after eating and I want to nap. It's not predictable at all, but happens every now and then. My surgeon ignored me completely and told me I was eating too many carbs and didn't believe me when I told her that it happened when eating eggs or chicken. That goodness for people here...
