What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
I can honestly say that I would be a champ at Napercize. I love them, especially on a cold Sunday afternoon when I don't have to do anything.
The last food temptation I was strong enough to turn down....I've turned down quite a lot lately but I would have to say a homemade hamburger with all the fixings. It looked amazing, but like most things I know I could only eat about 1/3 of the burger, and that's not for another 4 months (though I have enjoyed some extremely moist, fall-apart, well cooked and cubed beef in a soup). I'm not struggling too awful much anymore, but Sunday as I ate my 1.5 oz of fish, I watched my wife eat a southwest salad, my kids eat a grilled cheese/fries and a chicken finger/fries kids' meal, it was a little hard. What made it easier was watching the curling match on the television in the restaurant.
The feelings of difficulty being around people that drink my former drinks and eat the stuff I would have once DEMOLISHED are really diminishing in the past few weeks in particular. The Easter weekend meals and chocolates didn't even interest me really, and I'm finding that more and more.
But I digest....
Breakfast: Protein shake, 25g P, 2 g C
MS: 1/2 cup FF greek yogurt with 1 oz blueberries in it. turns out plain FF greek yogurt tastes a LOT like a combination of sour cream and caulking.
Lunch: Same shake as above
AS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with a pinhead amount of Flashbang hot sauce. 2 oz strawberries once I stop sweating from the Flashbang.
Supper, TBD but likely 1/2 cup of soup.
ES: Maybe 1 oz of cheese.
Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Plain Greek yogurt can totally be plain and blah, agreed! What some of the other posters do are do "add ins" such as:
- SF (sugar free) jam
- Splenda
- Torani Syrup (flavour of your choice)
- Protein Powder
- PB2 (Powdered peanut butter)
- SF pudding or jello (the powder/crystals)
I eat the Loblaws brand Skyr yogurt, high in protein, I use the vanilla Skyr and 1 tbsp SF Smuckers raspberry jam & 1 tbsp of bran buds to help going to the bathroom, its super filling and eats like meal all mixed up.Just some ideas to help you out.

yeah for Rockin' the weight loss for Paris... I am down 3.5 of the 5lbs I gained in 2 DAYS at the wedding!! Mentally you know you didn't eat an extra 17,500 calories in 2 days but it is still when you look at the scale like WTF/SMH what is happening? That is how my body rolls...water retention and inflammation...
QOTD: I stress ate an Only 8 brand frozen yogurt on Sunday, but my resistance to temptation was I only ordered a medium cone with chocolate crunchies (about 100c) rather than choosing my desired and usual Avalanche with peanut butter sauce and chocolate crunchies mixed in... It is like 16oz of yogurt, and while than is only 8 calories an ounce....nobody is measuring the peanut sauce and chocolate crushed cookie pieces so probably 400-500 calories... I love it, but it is also way too much food, but it is a slider- so it can happen if I want it to...
Experimenting with adding some fat to my diet to see if I can cut back on Miralax and other helpers :)
B: Coffee latte w/Fairlife and 1 tsp MCT oil ( liquid coconut oil)
S: TJ Turkey w/provolone
L: Out with friend- salad and meat :)
S: Pre-workout- siggi's yogurt 4oz w/2 tbsp pecan pieces and 1/4c blueberries
D: Pork Carnitas, green beans w/olive oil and garlic.
S: Protein Hot Chocolate, cheese (probably not because dinner will be late. Depends how late I am up)
I am obviously off my cheese moratorium :) It didn't help me lose any weight. Neither did stopping my Carbquik mug cakes. But what did seem to help in my personal science experiment on myself was cutting out all protein shakes....Even though I like them as a quick fix for my sweet tooth, I am going to stay off them for awhile. (never say never)... They worked for me during weight loss phase, but not so much in Maintenance. SO this weeks self experiment is adding fat. Will let you know how that goes....

Good morning menu friends!! I've been reading every day, but dealing with health issues unrelated to WLS.
Sorry about the shake-up at work JB, but so excited to hear all your details about Paris!!

Extra fluids to try to flush the edema away--the scale is cruel...
Edited for the QOTD: At our Easter Sunday meal there were many foods that I steered clear from. I did eat the insides of a cheese Pierogi. Yummmmm. With lots of melted butter!!

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Nice to have you back :)
Good morning and happy Tuesday. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better about the new job, JB. Even though the process may seem more extensive than you'd hoped, I know you're going to kill it!
JBQOTD: S'mores at our staff appreciation lunch.
My plan:
B: 2.8 oz ground turkey, .3 oz snow peas, .5 oz cheddar cheese
L: leftover chicken enchilada casserole -- basically the inside of a chicken enchilada all baked together (3 oz chicken breast, .5 oz jack cheese, olives enchilada sauce)
D: NY Steak (I think), artichoke (maybe)
S: skinny latte, sliced chicken or light and fit before the gym, almonds after the gym
