Too late...already did come back to work. Totally should have stayed home longer. So exhausted. Oh well... I survived. Heading out a little early now and going to go home straight to bed.

Work your surgery on Wednesday - most likely you are still swollen. Inside of you. That can last 2-4 weeks. Higher weight - up to 5 lbs.

Plus - as you healing- your body needs calories. Good calories. Proteins, fats and good carbs (berries with whipped cream = helps with the carbs and BM) .

If you try to "diet" while you are healing - you may slow down the healing process.

Good luck.

Morning JB and menu peeps. I've been thinking about you and your job situation a lot, and hoping you are doing okay. I know this can be annoying to hear when you are in the thick of it, but these sort of shake ups can be the best thing that ever happened. They shake us out of our comfort zone, and force us to think about what we really want. From someone who has very recent experience with this, it can be a wonderful opportunity. Stressful, but wonderful

And besides, we will always have Paris! Two weeks! I cannot wait!

I had a great weekend. Very busy on Friday and Saturday, and quiet on Sunday. I got a ton of little stuff done, which always makes me feel accomplished.

Today I am going to the Nike employee store to buy shoes for Paris (squee!). My friend that works for Nike scored a pass for me, so there will be some serious athletic wear shopping today. I also need to go to IKEA. Yikes!

QOTD: my favorite cuisine either Vietnamese or Thai. I love the complex flavors in the foods, and I find I am eating more spicy these days (sriracha rules!). Less food, more flavor!

Time Since Surgery: 2 years + 5 months

B: Egg Beaters, bacon and mozzarella omelette

S: Zenner's chicken sausage link

L: boneless, skinless chicken thigh

S: turkey ham

D: black cod, asparagus, rapini

Totals: Calories 670, Carbs 17, Protein 91

Have a great Monday everyone.

Thanks, friend! I am not really freaking out... I know that it is for the best.

I love my job and the only thing that has been hard is the underlying infrastructure issues about how we are all supposed to serve these schools in person the way we do. I think this is a really great opportunity to shake things up and make it more manageable. And on a personal note, a promotion and and raise is cool, too :)

I just wish I knew what was happening before we leave, so that I can relax and spend money in Paris without worrying.

But also... 2 weeks!!!!!
