I still eat both. I just order something with meat & veggies, eat about a cup of it, and skip the rice.

QOTD: My favorite ethnic food category would definitely have to be potatoes.

I grew up in an Irish family and hated the potatoes. I was forced to eat them. My mother would make sit at the table until I cleaned my plate. She finally compromised and allowed me to get my own portions as long as I ate at least one spoon of potatoes.

In our house they were either boiled with the skins on, or peeled and mashed. I did not learn about French fries until I was in my teens and could not believe they were from the same vegetable.

There is a restaurant near my house that makes mashed potatoes with equal parts potatoes and butter. They are incredibly delicious and are the devil's food. I love/hate them.

Equal parts? I'm not one for skimping on butter. I suppose I could try them, and just add more of my own butter.

hi all

weekend was a busy one. Saturday I went to Super H amrt (an asian grocery store) and bought all kinds f veggies, spices etc and ate bimibap for the first time. It was beef ribeye, carrots, bean sprouts, and radish. When I asked the lady what the vegetable was, she was like, its just radish that is pickeled. then she said, you want more? and brought me more. It was so good that I made my own version last night for DH. It was so good and I have leftovers today. Best part, within meal plan as I don't make with rice, except for DH. I also got some other stuff like dried pollack and pho starter etc. Also went to trader joes, sprouts and aldi. It was so fun running around.

yesterday I move a literal 1/2 river sand into the chicken run. It was pretty exhausting and I did some more gardening so that was a fun break to hauling sand.

Food for today.

coffee/miralax/prot powder

yogurt/leftover bimimap/mushrooms/

not sure on dinner yet but I'm going to do something fun.

QOTD: I would say indian/ greek are my fav. I can't handle not eating pasta so I generally stay away from italian dishes OR make my faux versions like lasagna with veg noodles.

JB- I think this could be an awesome opportunity for you in your career.
