It was a long weekend. We had my daughter's 8th birthday party, which was fun for her but sitting at a pizza place and then at an ice cream shop was not so fun, for me. On top of that, I had an event for my business that was a total flop (but a 90 minute drive there and back!) and my Dad's very old dog that is staying with us while he's in Hawaii is barely hanging on. So, there was an emergency vet visit in there too.

I love Mexican food and Sushi. I haven't eaten either of them since surgery really. I've been out once for Mexican, but order a side order of shrimp. We don't have any local Sushi places, so I only get that when I go to MD generally and I haven't been yet. I will still plan to do Sashimi and maybe eat the filling (minus rice) out a couple of favorites.

15 weeks post op, 175.2lbs today. Feeling very much like this might be my first stall. I'm still at the weight I was last week at this time.

B: Siggi's yogurt & Babybel

L: Going out for burgers for a work thing. So probably a bunless burger.

D: Bourbon salmon (1oz) and one scallop

Sushi! YES!!!! I've been having more sashimi than I can (financially) afford as it's such a great source of protein. Friday night I had a Soft Shelled Crab hand roll... It was made with avocado and a crab salad like mix. SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD.

Good morning all! Finally starting to stay above 30 degrees (mostly) overnite here in Anchorage, so spring is definitely here! Time to scrape the last of the snow off the garden beds and get busy :)

QOTD: Mexican even though most of the fun stuff is off limits now!

B: Small black coffee (trying to get off this), 1/2 scoop isopure zero-carb protein shake

L: 3 oz roasted chicken, 1/3 C sauteed italian kale

D: 3 or 4 oz baked King salmon

Vitamins: All of 'em

Exercise: Orangetheory workout (HIIT). Had a pinched nerve episode at the last workout so this is my first class back after a week of pretty intense pain. Going to ease into it, but have to get back on that horse! Low calorie right now to finally get to goal this year.

I had a very nice weekend and the weather was beautiful. I'm hoping the job issues work themselves out in a good way for you JB.

QOTD: I love all ethnic food but my favorite would have to be italian... not that I can have it much and being Italian myself is that considered ethnic?? Hmm.. maybe then I'd pick mexican.

B: decaf coffee and protein hot chocolate

L: Salsa crack chicken... OMG.... I made this with a already cooked whole chicken, philidelpha 2X protein cream cheese and instead of bacon I put in a cup of salsa.. I could eat the entire crock for lunch today.. it's good I'm at work. It's the best thing I've made since surgery and the stats are really good on it too. It will be a regular. Does anyone know if this would freeze well?

I froze the regular crack chicken and it thaws fine, so I expect your version (which I need to try) will too.

very late post for me. I completed my 24-hour urine collection (they're testing for free calcium in my urine because of my elevated PTH levels) and had to take it to the lab. The woman laughed at me last week when I told her that one collection jug would not be enough. Apparently she hasn't worked with many post WLS peeps who drink their weight in water. One jug was NOT enough and I ended up emptying and sterilizing a large water bottle to go along with it. Her face, when I handed her the bag with the two bottles, was priceless!

JBQOTD: Mexican, but I also love middle eastern food. Nothing ever will beat the falafel pita I ate at a little stand In Beer Sheva in Israel (we ate A LOT of them in the 3 weeks I spent in the country.)

My Plan:

B: all messed up because of my trip to the lab 2.72 oz ham and a string cheese

L: Tri-Tip (3.78 oz) and carrots

D: The insides of chicken enchiladas (4 oz shredded chicken, enchilada sauce, olives, cheddar and jack cheese)

S: Skinny latte, chicken salad (4 oz); cottage cheese, yogurt, protein shake (not all of these, but I'm not sure what, if any of it, I'll want to eat)

Lol, that's probably a good rule of thumb. I will say, people steer clear of you when they see you carrying the two jugs of pale yellow liquid!
