I woke up this morning after a fairly short sleep (I had a surprise gig come up last night, so I drummed until 2am). Still, after a long week of being worn down dealing with fairly awful situations at work, I woke up reasonably refreshed in heart and mind. Drumming does that for me, it takes me to a place that leaves the grind behind.

It's been hard to find any reprieve from that stress in the last month, and I feel like burnout is a real possibility. Being a Health and Safety guy, I'm well versed in identifying that and using tools to help it. I went to church like I always do, and left recharged and centred again, ready to tackle the week. It's also the reason I decided to pop on here and share.

This morning I had a smoothie, consisting of:

1/4 cup mixed frozen berries, 1/4 cup ff Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup 1% milk and a scoop of whey protein isolate.

Lunch was 1.5 oz of haddock.

Supper will be 1/2 cup FF Greek yogurt with 1/4 cup blueberries mixed in.

edit- supper was another 1.5 oz of the haddock. Why let fish sit in the fridge more than I have to? And two little pieces of broccoli. Cayenne on both.

snacks, if I bother but just don't seem to happen much will be either an oz of cheese or turkey, or maybe some cottage cheese.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

hi and thanks for posting. Is there any reason you are eating so many carbs in the form of fruits? Just wondering. I kept them off the list until I was a goal so just wondering.

As far as carbs go, these offer vitamins and fibre, etc while remaining relatively low. I hit 17 g on the day according to my logging app. Broccoli (1/4 cup) has only 1.5 while being a powerhouse in other nutritional needs. Berries, same deal.
