Morning Sunday crew! Late post for me!

shower was a success. So much fun. I'll post pics when I get them!

A lot of weight loss comments, a few people who didn't recognize me. So strange.

qotd: seems like I have some catching up to do on the boards, but let's talk carbs. How many do you average? Did you increase them once you hit goal? I keep mine below 30, usually below 20 on a week day.

Menu: protein shake and the rest is up in the air as we organize the post shower chaos.

have a good one!

I'm sitting here in our RV going stir crazy. It rained all night and is still raining and rained most of yesterday. Lily and I got about a 2 mile walk yesterday and nothing so far today so we are both antsy for the rain to stop. Hoping for a break at some point so we can move some. QOTD once I got below goal I added my steel cut oats and protein bars but for the last week I've dropped the bars and switchEd to P3 Pak for my evening snack. It's not nearly as tasty but with the bars gone I seem to have less urge to snack. I think they'll have to be an occasional treat instead. I still avoid potatoes, rice, pasta and bread except for a rare corn muffin with ham and beans so other than 1/2 c oats my other choices are low carb. Post op 4 years 8 months and weight unknown. Here's the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese with guacamole D 31/2 oz baked fish 1/2 c Tuscan veggie blend S P3 Pak. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

It's party day here! Glad the shower went well for you!

I'd like to stay between 20-30g carbs and was up until I bought the wrong calcium chews. There isn't a store here that sells the right ones so until the ones I ordered online get here I'm averaging between 40-50g carbs.

B: protein shake

L: veggies and light ranch plus half a small hamburger patty

D: Protien shake

Hsve a great day everyone!

Can't wait to see shower pictures!

meal prepping today...I didn't get it done yesterday because we lost power for seven hours. We have had terrible storms and flooding and we are stranded at home. My husband couldn't get home either and had to spend the night at work. I won't complain (much), our home is safe and we have power now, but it was a very long Saturday!

Still working for goal, so still trying to keep my carbs as low. Interested to see others answers.

Food is on the fly once again whilst I prep.

B- making biscuits and gravy for the kids. I will snitch some of the sausage for me and maybe fix an egg.

L- cheeseburger soup (weird, right? Haven't made this before.)

S-probably leftover soup.

D- roasting a couple of chickens to use all week, so I'll have some of that and a salad.

S- clementine and cheddar cheese

Good morning guys!

Rainy morning here too and there's a sale at Value Village so it's a clear sign that Mother Nature wants me to go shopping.

While I was grocery shopping yesterday I ran into my ex husbands cousin and in that moment when you see someone you recognize you forget for a second that they don't necessarily see someone that they recognize. I smiled at her but she looked away and then approached me moments later and said "Omg... Christine?? Is that you??" ...whi*****ombination with the look on her face just made me laugh.

QOTD At 5 months post op I have had a few days where the numbers have crept up higher but I usually keep it under 20. I have a healthy fear of carbs right now and meat so just so delicious that I'm quite content being a carnivore.

5 months post op

B- coffee w/ 1/2 premier chocolate

L, D, S- it's food prep day so nothing figured out yet but I'll be pulling stuff out of the freezer shortly

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Morning folks! happy Sunday. I feel so accomplished already. My laundry is done (I only do mine these days- everyone else does there own). I seasoned up the chicken for dinner, cleaned the stove, ran, and had breakfast. TodAy I need to clean the bathroom and run to buy a roasting pan (I either have too big or too little- no 'just right' size) and lunch meat.

Qotd: my goal has always been to keep my carbs lower than my protein total. My protein total is anywhere from 60-120 daily, average is 80. Anything above 70g carbs makes me nervous and I have the 'you need to get a hold of yourself speech with myself.' I truly don't understand how some of you have 20 to 30 max a day. Heck a Greek yogurt still has like 13g... that's 1/2 of a 20carb max gram day! In the past two years I've probably had an equivalent of one month where my carbs were over a 100. I'm ok with my higher carb allowance since the source of my carbs are 90% complex carbs... not simple.

194 today; 2 years out

m1: 1/2c egg beaters, 2oz ham, baked blueberry oatmeal

m2: cheese, cashews-1oz each. Tuna packet

m3: sautéed shrimp

m4: roast chicken and veggies

i also had a 1/2 protein shake before my run- so I'll likely finish that at some point.

I am a day -1 of Nephew's wedding and day at the Jersey shore- sun, fun and beach...it was close to 90 yesterday there...amazing weather for April....

Had a really hard time getting out of bed this AM after so much fun. Got home after 10PM.

QOTD: I did not count carbs per se when losing weight, but always tried to pick individual items that were low carb. Surgeon guidellines for protein drinks was no more than 5g. That being said from doing MFP periodically, I knew my carb grams- from 30-50...and that is not necessarily picking carb foods but from things like milk, yogurt, protein drinks etc...

In Maintenance I stay in the 50g +/- most days. On occasional heavy carb days I could bump up to 75-100. I have found with amping up the intensity of my workouts-running and trainer I have had to add some carefully planned carbs, I was feeling sick otherwise. We won't even talk about the 2 day wedding that just happened. Carbs were off the charts, and the scale showed it. I know some of it is water retention. but boo. I pick some higher calorie foods more often like peanut butter or trail mix- that have more carbs, I eat vegetables now- at least try to add them to lunch and dinner every day- carbs...and yes more often the low carb pita or wrap....but not everyday. I go through spells with things. Lately I have been having one or two wasa crackers... 40 calories and I think 9 carbs each. I like the crunch and they are big... I am not accidentally going to throw 30 into my mouth...

Off to the gym...wanted to run this AM but couldn't get out of bed. May do it later. Then home to shower and off church...

B: Coffee with Premier Protein and 4oz fairlife milk/miralax

S: Orange Julius Protein Drink
Low Sodium v8 (need the potassium)

S: (at church if needed) Individual peanut pack

L: TJs Roasted Turkey (late lunch), carrots

D: Pork Carnitas, spinach

S: Protein Hot Chocolate
