When food does not agree with you, what do you do?
Call your center and let them know. I had to do 2 extra weeks of full liquids because I had inflammation, which was causing pain, but my pain came about 4 hours after eating.
I was fine on purees and soft foods after my second round of full liquids; I think some of us just heal less quickly than others.
Good luck.

I'm just a "few weeks older" than yourself and I'm still making mistakes all the time. If it's not the consistency then it's either speed and/or amount. I've made myself vomit many times just to feel better. It's not fun.
My center always recommended reverting back to liquids for 24 hours after vomitting to give the throat and esophagus a chance to calm down. They also recommended not trying more than one new food a day to avoid upsetting the pouch. You might be trying to advance your diet too quickly.

I'm almost 3 weeks post-op and the only time I experienced what you've gone through is eating one bite too many. Go slow and put down your silverware between bites or sips of soup. The amount we can eat right now is very small so try not to challenge those limits. We're all rooting for you to feel better soon!
The magic baking powder was force of habit and probably my biggest mistake, I have always used it when making scrambled eggs since I was a lttle girl at my grandma's knee it makes scrambled eggs light and fluffy.
That said, I used almost the same pinch for 1 egg white and a 1/4 cup of milk that I would use when cooking 4 eggs for my family.
I wonder if that is where all the foam came from (so embarrassed), finally feel better after 4 hours of intermittent vomiting - which was an awful lot for what I ate. I also took a four hour nap - which was me riding out the storm. I may not sleep tonight!
Clear fluids are staying down, just have to sip, sip, sip as I am so dry and heart rate a little fast - I can see that after RNY we get dehydrated very fast when we are sick.
Who knew you could overdose on baking powder. I looked it up, it is a real thing. It can rupture your stomach, I should have known, it is basically sodium bicarbonate and an acid.
Feeling very stupid and very grateful for your responses and well wishes.
thanks

Sorry to hear that you were feeling so unwell! Your baking powder (powder or soda?) use reminded me of an old court case I remember, detailed here:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/local/1991/10/05/damages-denied-in-explosion-of-stomach/6d76d74a-c9db-4d86-aca2-f4389adc9cac/?utm_term=.693c56243792
I paid attention at the time because I was (and still am) so fond of the National Geographic. This case involved the editor of that magazine, who sued Arm & Hammer after disastrous results from taking a spoonful of their sodium bicarbonate as a remedy for his stomachache.
I hope you continue to feel better and that tomorrow all will be well.
