What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Laying here in the bed at the Howard Johnson's recovering from the wedding last night. Just finished my coffee, tried it with the chocolate Premier protein this time. It was better. I procrastinated and booking a room and that's how I ended up at Ho Jo's that had karaoke in the lounge to 130 in the morning LOL
The wedding was beautiful for my nephew, the place was gorgeous it was right on the ocean. The food was great the most part. They had a tower of meat at the ****tail hour along with a raw and shrimp ****tail seafood bar. So those were perfect. Desserts did happen,
I don't know what I did last night, but my neck and shoulders are more sore than any workout I've ever done I'm assuming it was the dancing and there was too much 'wool woop' over the heads with the arms...My family are dancers. Took a sibling shot with my three brothers... my sister was missing:(
Plan for today because it supposed to be in the low 80s is to go to the house that my brother rented for the weekend and either sit by the pool and walk down to the ocean and stay here as long as I can before heading home.
Food?
Well breakfast was a Premier protein, and a low-carb peanut butter and a little cream cheese from the breakfast bar that was all carb. The rest the day is a mystery. I do have a few Babybels with me, and I saw there was a Rite Aid like a block down the road that supposedly has those new premier proteins that are fruit flavored so I may stop and buy some of those

DH is off to New Jersey today to visit his family, so I'll have the place to myself for the next week. I think I'll try to do some major cleaning in case we have to hire a professional pet sitter to take care of the cats while we're in NC in a couple of weeks. Usually a friend of mine does it who's used to my messy house, but I'm not sure if she's going to be around while we're gone. Boo.
QOTD: I'm most grateful for fitting in with the rest of the population now (as in not sticking out like a sore thumb), and my greatly increased mobility. And being able to do a lot more of the poses in yoga classes, like the one below.
22 months out (maintenance):
B: Triple Zero coconut creme yogurt with flaxseed, fresh strawberries, and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, strawberry kefir protein/fiber shake
L: turkey meatballs or turkey burger, cabbage with miso-sesame vinaigrette
D: carnitas
probably another Greek yogurt or a protein "shamrock shake"
Same. I am in awe of my née super powers! Lol! We have 3 1/2 acres, and very sloped. My exercise time right now is spent outside trying to spruce up and clean up. Pulling wagonfuls of debris uphill, hauling 40 pound bags of compost, squatting and kneeling over flowerbeds. It's awesome to be able to do these things.
Rain. Rainrainrain. We had more storms last night, lost power. I won't complain though. There were tornadoes south of us. More storms today, then hopefully we will dry out a bit.
im prepping my meals for the week today, but still winging it until they are ready. It has been enormously helpful to have food prepped.
B- cottage cheese
L- lunch meat cheese and pickles
s- going to visit friends today, not sure, but I'm bringing some nuts.
D- pizza for the kids. I plan to make myself one. I have these low carb pitas to use as my crust.
S- yogurt maybe?

It's finally a beautiful day here in RI! Heading to CT to see a high school show tonight with a couple of friends that help to work on my show so that should be fun.
QOTD: I'm grateful for so many things it's hard to pick one. I have more energy, my joints hurt much less and I care about taking care of myself. I guess I'm most grateful for having the balls to do this surgery and to change my life so much. I'm living in a miracle right now I never thought would be possible especially at 56 years old.
B: poached egg and ham
L: left over sirloin
s: decaf and protein hot chocolate
D: not sure because we will find a place to eat on the way to the show. Most likely a salad with protein.
Not sure if my totals yet but somewhere under 700 calories, under 30 carbs and at least 90g of protein
