I'm okay with protein bars but I need to lose the almonds for a while. They are too easy to grab and eat (and don't seem to fill me up much).

I thought I was fine with bars too but I have noticed that since I dropped them I'm having less urge to snack. It could be coincidence or not but I'll swap them out for a while at least.

Wow I'd love to have some BBQ sausage (with a beer of course) and I'd definitely love to have a lobstah roll especially from Neptune Oyster.

Im going to make some salmon poke as soon as I get back from a long walk to pick up some fage yogurt.

QOTD

Aside from the usual things like the unused beta blockers sitting neglected in my medicine cabinet and my seemingly insatiable desire to walk everywhere, I'm quite grateful I was always too stubborn to give up on the closet of clothes that never fit.

Morning!! I've been on my run, and I did 4.5 miles, 1/2 way to my 5 miles in 2017 goal! I'm at bowling- only two more weeks of it and then I get my Saturday mornings back. Yes!! Today I'll go into work to get a jump start on some projects- hubby is taking the boys to the NFL experience. After work I need to grocery shop- we are at bare minimums.

Qotd: what I'm most grateful for post WLS is that my pre-WLS obesity didn't take a toll on my physical body. My back, knees, hips, ankles etc held up remarkably well and I'm so glad since I love my exercise routine and would be down if my joints couldn't handle it.

196 today, 2 years out

m1: 2 boiled eggs, 4 turkey sausage links

m2-4: I'm thinking a protein bar, bourbon chicken chunks or meatballs & sauce. I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel cause I need to shop.

What is bourbon chicken? I've seen you post it in your menu a few times and it always sounds good.

They are bourbon flavored, frozen, grilled chicken chunks that I get at Wegmans or Giant. I believe the brand is 'cooked perfect'. They are super convenient- I pop them in the toaster over for 15 minutes. I eat them alone or with salad. Stats for a 3.5 oz serving (about 5 chunks) are: 180 cal, 20g, protein, 3.8g carb,8.8g fat. It's one one my must have on hand foods.

It looks like they sell them at Stop and Shop near where I live. I'm going to try them!

Good morning everyone!

QOTD Everything. Basically everything I do is easier, faster, less painful and less stressful. At work I'm so much more mobile and my stamina has been awesome. I'm right back into 12 hour work days and I'm having no problem keeping up with guys 10 years younger than me. Plus because we do a lot of driving there's always a shuffle for how we're getting everyone into the trucks and I've been identified as someone "who needs less room" so I have been getting in the small back seats of the trucks... and fitting without issue or discomfort. I walk over 10 miles a day, I can get down to the ground and back up again quickly and with ease... as usually the list goes on and I'm grateful for all of it and so much more.

B- coffee w/ 1/2 chocolate premier

L- chicken breast (I've been eating so much chicken lately... )

D- visiting friends so I have no idea

S- skyr and protein powder

Have a great weekend guys!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

So far, I think th best benefit of my WLS is my confidence boost. When you try and fail to loose weight so many times and then are finally starting to be successful, your self confindence grows! Also, my cloths aren't fitting anymore so I stopped by the store to try and find a pair of jeans that fit and walked away with a pair 2 sizes smaller than what I wore before. That definitely feels good! I am trying to take full advantage of my honeymoon stage.

Tomorrow we are throwing my son's birthday party so today will be cleaning up the house, setting up, making his cake, etc. I am hoping to get a 2-3 mile walk down to the lake in this afternoon.

B- Unjury And Fairlife shake (I'm out of kale and PB2 and also need to go shopping)

L- homemade frittatas? Going to try and make a few of these to have around as easy grab and go meals- has anyone frozen those before? Do they come out okay?

D- Not sure yet, although I made a goat cheese and cauliflower pizza a few days ago and still have a slice of that leftover so probably that. Getting the all clear to eat most textures has inspired my creativity with cooking I guess, lol
