Carl that picture is amazing wow that's a place I need to visit one day!

I see that you are 2 months out today, congrats on your surgery! I would like to take a quick minute and just mention you are hardly eating protein and eating a lot of carbs! Protein bars should not even be on your menu until you are in maintenance. Your breakfast is exactly what my husband eats for breakfast daily and he is a NON weight loss surgery patient. Just because a food says "protein" in it does not mean its good for us. Not sure why you aren't eating more dense protein, if its because you are only 2 months out I get that but protein bars and edge cereal is not what you should be eating. If you tell me that is what your centre recommend trust me I have heard it a million times, the probably told you to eat oatmeal and some brown rice or mashed potatoes. Dense protein, eggs, bacon, cheese, cottage cheese, deli meat with laughing cow cheese spread or deli cheese slices. I find ground turkey made with taco seasonings is one of the best things for high protein.

I am saying this all to be super supportive and hope you will continue to post on our menu thread. We welcome all newbies and want to see everyone (newbie, novice or Vet) successful. I just want to caution the protein bars and cereal this early out.

I hope you have a wonderful time walking home with your daughter, that sounds awesome!
