Hi Chris, how are you? I hope your gout is starting to settle down and you are having less pain and episodes!

Taking stuff to the dump is actually one of my weirdest fav things to do, I love getting rid of clutter and crap! LOL

Have a great weekend!

Hi Daisy,

My gout is just about all gone. Yaaay! Thank you for asking.

Funny you say that about the dump. I felt the exact same way! LOL!

Edited for dumbass typo. Apparently I'm dyslexic today and wrote stuff backwards! LOL!

Good morning JB and gang. Sorry I never got back yesterday to post my menu. It's month end and work is always crazy. Today is the last day we have to meet our filing forecast. I have to say, that though I didn't get everything filed that was forecasted, it was not for lack of trying. There are always issues, and I have done everything in my power to meet the deadlines. So, I'm sitting back and relaxing (while doing some tedious work that needs to be done).

I'm still struggling with my food. I'm doing better, but it's a struggle for sure. Dan went to the surgeon on Wednesday and they removed his cast. It was actually a little bit of a setback for him. The cast actually protected his ankle and allowed him to walk easier by giving support. now that it's off, he's got to be more careful on how he steps. The incisions have healed very nicely, but he has very little mobility and will be starting Physical Therapy in a few weeks. I'm hoping he can get back to driving and being more mobile soon. We're going this weekend to get him a cane, hoping that it will help me get around better.

My baby starts soccer this weekend. I went out and got him a size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, and soccer socks last night. He's going to be so cute. he keeps telling me that he wants to gaurd the net. I told him to tell his coach on Saturday, but really because it's preschool soccer, they will only be playing 3 on 3, so we'll see how that works out. He has some small experience with soccer, because his older cousins that he's spent a lot of time with have all played, and he has a little net in the back yard. I'm sure we'll be practicing a lot now.

Speaking of back yards, I have a huge issue with going outside now. I took my Bugsy for a walk back in the woods a few days ago and when I got home I had 4 ticks crawling on me, and one crawling on him. I freaked out. Bugsy has been treated, and has been since we got him. But I will have to bathe in Deep Woods Off before going back out there. I also got some Flea and Tick for our cats. I have never treated them before, since they don't ever go outside and I've never seen a tick in or around my house. But with Bugsy and us going in and out, I can't really not treat them now. I'm still very creeped out. Yuck, I hate bugs.

JBQOTD: I think that I am happier now in my life than I have ever been, but I do have to admit that my favorite decade would have to be the 1990s. I was young and carefree, and I had more fun from the years 1992 through 1997 than I can even remember. BUT, I would have to say that my happiest times are from 2006 through current.

I've been really doing some soul searching the last few months, and trying to come to terms with the person that I used to be and the person I am becoming now. Weight loss has taken a huge weight off of me (both literally and figuratively) and I am making sure that as I change who I am, I am becoming the very best me that I can be. Not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually. So when you see me struggle here, it's because I feel comfortable to pour out all of the negative issues that I am having, because I feel like OH is my safe place. I will say things here that I would never say on Facebook. I've been really, really philosophical for the past week, so please don't mind me, lol.

Photo Friday! This pic popped up on facebook the other day, it's from 5 years ago...

And this picture is from right now, I just took it while sitting here at my desk at work. No makeup, hair undone, red face and all. Damn you rosacea!

And finally, a baby afghan that I made for my coworkers new baby boy. I love when I finish a project, since it doesn't happen often.
