An NSV I nearly missed

So I decided to step out of my usual suspect shopping places and bought something at Primark. It's a European based clothing story-- sort of like H&M. In shopping there I figured I'd need to go up a size from what I'm used wearing (a 12) because European sizing runs smaller. Despite a logical reason beyond my control- I still felt 'a way' about needing to buy a 14. In the spirit of being open minded I just shopped- but that pesky feeling of defeat lingered.

Interestingly encough- when I was undressing tonight I read the label for laundry instructions. Then I notice the sizing: UK14, US10. Reading that really brightened my day!

Thanks for sharing. I have not looked at NSVs in a while. I know they are one thing that kept me focused when the scale wasn't moving.

Awesome!

BTW I went into a Primark for the first time last weekend, and props to you... I walked in and immediately felt like I was about 50 years too old to be shopping there! The music was blaring and Tweens were swarming the place. I felt like such an old lady and left. LOL.

That's just how I feelin H&M and Forever 21. I do agree the style there is geared toward the younger crowd- so it took me a bit to find something I felt was reasonable for my age.

No Primark here--but we do have H&M. I am glad to have teenagers--my 14 son is too young to get himself to the store--so I get in there with him. I try to pay attention to how the teens dress, and how stylish adults around me dress. I want to have a stylish vibe--still trying to figure out what that vibe is, I think!

Thanks for posting this!

Congrats!!! You inadvertently made my day too!

I have an Italian dress I fit into now that is a size 12. I couldn't figure out how I have clothes fitting me in size 8 and that this dress was the hold out. Now I get it! Thank you!
