What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

It's Terrific Tuesday, Friends! How is everyone doing? Did you make it through Monday? I had a decent day...no complaints. And I stuck to my menu except that Grim and I ended up going out to dinner last night, instead of what I planned. We went to a chain that had the calories posted, so I was easily able to choose something that was fewer than what was on my original plan. I haven't cheated and I have exercised every day. I am too cold to go downstairs and weigh myself, but I hope the scale will be kind and reward my efforts! EDIT: just weighed in and *gained a pound. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!? Grr.
Ok, funny thing happened to me last night. I was at CVS picking up some prescriptions, and the woman asked me to confirm my birthday. I told her, and she got a huge smile and said, "That's my birthday, too!". So I asked her what year, and she said it was the same as me. Whaaaat? That women looked like a grandmother! She had grey hair and just looked OLD! I mean some people in my HS class are grandparents, now but, geez! Later, I was watching an episode of John Oliver who was horrified to learn that he shares a birthday with John Cena, who looks so much younger than him. I also always make fun of my dad because he and Cher have the same birthday and my dad doesn't look quite as good as Cher these days (well, ever, LOL.). QOTD: Have you ever been super thrown off by someone who is the same age as you? Younger or older?

Good Morning! Talked to an old friend yesterday and she and her husband and my husband and I are going to meet for lunch Saturday! I can't wait we haven't seen each other for 3 years. They don't know that I have had surgery so it will be quite a surprise for them when they see me! Plus they have always had foster kids and they just adopted a little girl that they have had for 2 plus years so we will get to meet her! So excited!!
qotd: Not quite the same but a lady that I work with I thought was my age or a little younger and she is 77!!!! I was shocked when she said that, she looks great!

Qotd: kinda, my aunt has a friend and about 10 years ago I realized she was only a couple of years older than me. I was shocked! I asked my sisters and husband if we looked the same age hahah it was one of those times where you question your perception of yourself.
In the flip side, I thought one of the women I worked with for a bit at my new job was Around my age, maybe a bit older . Turns out, she's 50! She looks amazing.

JB: Glad to know your day went well and you were able to stick to plan, even if it changed a bit by going out!
QOTD: I happen to act very young and while I take jobs seriously, I end up giggling with the younger/junior staff in the corner when I'm lunching or social. I've met many cold/type A folks in previous jobs who tend to keep within the managerial/director level of social circles and thought, wow, they must be like 5-10 years older, and it turns out we're the same age and I'm older then them by months! This has happened at least 3 or 4 times in my career.
Todays Plan (is exactly like yesterday's):

That scale can be so frustrating can't it. Congrats on sticking to plan.
QOTD: I have been such a loner and recluse, the only person I have been around that is my age is my husband. I am a year older than him. The man barely has a gray hair on his head! Apparently it run in his family, on the other hand, I have had gray hair since my late 20's/early 30's. Also the fact that I have dentures that I am unable to get to stay in, so I given up on wearing them, makes me look a lot older also. I gave up my dental insurance because of the cost so I won't be getting that remedied any time soon. Otherwise, I think I would actually look a lot younger than my age if it wasn't for my teeth because I don't have a lot in the way of wrinkles for my age(as long as I keep dyeing my hair, lol).
Not sure if that answered the QOTD, lol.

Good morning guys!
I really hope you're right about this 'terrific Tuesday' thing... not feeling it yet but I'm hopeful.
Yesterday was a long day at work and by the time I got home I had no motivation to do much of anything beyond the absolute necessities. It did mean I was early to bed which was nice cause sleep is so good.
QOTD In the last few years there have been a few of my BFs friends wives/gfs that I've met and they've commented that look younger than them even though we're similar in age but I think the post op wrinkles ought to take care of that!

Good morning menu folks! It's another rainy day here so it is doubtful that I'll get in an outdoor walk. I'm in the office today so walking in the rain isn't such a good idea in my office clothes. I will take several turns around the hallways though since 5 laps = 1 mile. My exercise for today other than hall walking is my deep water aerobics class. I've been looking forward to this since I started planning for surgery and the day is here!
QOTD: I don't have a story, but it always shocks me when I realize that people at my age are grandparents. I don't have human children so I don't have a gauge for that sort of thing.
Breakfast: spinach feta egg muffin, turkey bacon
Snack: ice tea protein shake
Lunch: BBQ chicken breast, baby carrots
Snack: cottage cheese, unsweetened applesauce
Dinner: salmon with zoodles
Exercise: several short walks, 45 minute deep water aerobics

The grandparent thing really throws me off, too! I am 42 and I have TWO friends from HS who are already grandparents. I feel like I am barely old enough to be a parent, myself. I cannot even imagine...
