What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I have worn thin black leggings and a black cami to every weigh-in at my Doc's office.... I throw a T-shirt, jacket, sweater, or dress over it- that can be removed for weighing...whatever is appropriate for the time of year.
Good Luck!

Monday morning, and I'm laying here in bed too lazy to get up and get my morning work out video in.
I am not prepared for today or this week really, had a busy weekend with family visiting and haven't gone shopping. Until I do I'll mostly be having protein shakes, lol. It's nice that I have them to fall back on. Pre-surgery when I failed to plan I'd end up picking up pizza or fast food. I am glad that when I get super busy I can just fall back on shakes and know that I'm getting good protein without compromising my heath.
No one recommend surgery. I had finally reached a point where I wanted to commit completely to getting healthy and I was researching what type of diet/exercise program would be the most effective when I came across an article that said that 95% of people who loose a significant amount of weight without WLS gain it back within 5 years. It made me so so so depressed; That I only had a 5% success rate no matter what plan I took. At that point I started researching WLS and spoke to a Dr who confirmed that it would give me the best odds of long term success.
B: protein shake with chocolate unjury, kale, fairlife milk and PB2
L: fuzzy navel protien shake
S: fuzzy navel protein shake
D: TBD: when doing my totals in MFP I added in a light and fit Greek yogurt and discovered that it had 9g carbs! Wth? So my totals are with that in it for dinner even though at 5oz it would be 2 servings (dinner and after dinner snack) but now I am reconsidering eating it at all...
Totals with the light and fit yogurt in question:
Protien: 97g Carbs: 27g Calories: 510

I didn't hear those stats about dieting until after I had my surgery, but I wish I knew them before. I would have done something sooner, I think!
An update on my exercise...I decided that I'd rather walk in the rain than walk on the treadmill. I'm damp, but happier that I got out and went! I think I'm goin' crazy!

QOTD: I knew some people who had WLS but no one mentioned it. I viewed this as my last resort. I have lost hundreds of lbs over the years. Last time was 2006-2007 - I lost over 200 lbs. on Nutrisystem and then over the next 9 years proceeded to gain about 150 of that back. I thought about it for a long time and did lots of resear*****luding lurking these boards for quite a while. So far, so good. I'm 10 lbs from my ultimate goal and then the hard part will really begin - keeping it off. I'm hopeful, determined, but also realistic and cautious of over-confidence.

QOTD: I'd been thinking about WLS off and on for probably 10 years, and even went to a couple of orientation sessions and a handful of support group sessions. Then when my PCP starting mentioning it during my annual physicals, I started to think about it more seriously.
