My only suggestion with the PPI- especially because you will be on it for a month. Is don't go cold turkey off it, wean yourself on a lower dose for a week even if you just buy the over-the-counter lower dose yourself. I have been bouncing off Prilosec/omeprezole for the last year. I thought having my hernia fixed would be the end of it. While that did improve things dramatically, as I was on the PPI for 18 months straight...not a cure all... When I have a flare up... and I am always trying to examine why??? but have yet to find the magic answer...I find if I stop the higher dose cold turkey I can get a rebound acid- because your body has gotten use to the having the med around... weaning to a lower dose for a week has helped.

Love Elizabeth's answer...coffee.....

No one suggested WLS to me. In fact, I think most everyone thought I was insane. I had lost a significant amount of weight on my own and they didn't understand why I didn't just keep going like that. But I did know several people who had, had VSG and that I could ask about it.

Today is my 3 month F/U with the surgeon! I can't be the only one who picked out the lightest weight dress I own on a 38 degree morning and threw a jean jacket over it right? I know it doesn't really matter, but I desperately want to be under 180lbs on their scale. Last time I think I was up about 4lbs from home. This morning I was 175.6 at home...so it's going to be close!

175.6lbs, 14 weeks post op

L: P3 Protein Pack (I'll be driving back 90 minutes from my appointment)

D: Turkey roll ups with laughing cow (before or after my work out)

S: Premier Protein & Jerky

E: A new workout with my trainer, moving on to more lifting and less core stability.

If I didn't love my surgeon my 3 month F/U could be something totally different!

I was under 180 (178.1). I'm happy!
