What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Hi...my surgery is Wednesday! I've followed everything to a tee but never quite got on board with quitting caffeine. I was a major caffeine freak about 10 or more coffees, tea, or my big one diet Pepsi. I did give up the Pepsi and have been able to keep it to one or two cups a day. Because I'm now getting nervous about everything now I feel like my still caffeinated self is going to cause some horrible thing during my surgery. My program allows one cup per day do I'm not far from that. Can you tell I'm nervous....obsessing about small details. If anyone can send me encouragement and tell me to calm down it would be very appreciated!
As far as the topic goes: my doctor has
been bringing up wls for about 10 years. I didn't really think it was for me until I read an article in the new Yorker. Also a guy walked up to me in the grocery store and started with I'm not saying your fat but ,(great conversation opener,) snd then told me how wls had saved his life. Did some research and decided it was for me. Nervously yours Nance
Hello everyone -
Late post for me again. Didn't have time at work to post, but did some reading during my lunch and finished up reading just now.
Scale still not moving...I sure hope it moves for me tomorrow.
I am leaving at 4 AM Wednesday for Texas. Going with my dad to visit family for a little over a week. I'm really looking forward to seeing my sister, aunt, and cousins. Not looking forward to the 20+ hour drive.
QOTD: I had thought about WLS and did some checking into it, but my aunt brought it up and told me about her son's MIL and her son's SIL and how well they had done. One had RNY the other the Sleeve. So I really started checking it out.

If you get a headache you can't get rid of drink a little caffeine. If you were a heavy drinker it's much better if you can wean a little.
I took care of a truck driver who had the worst headache. We gave him everything including morphine. Finally some one asked how much coffee he drank. It was 5 pots a day. We started an IV caffeine drip and his headache was gone minutes after the infusion started.
Been awhile since I posted and I'm getting back to some of the basics again :) Part of that is accountability so I'm glad to see folks posting about their daily plan.
B: 2 eggs with 1 tbsp bacon bits, coffee with SF creamer
S: skipped today
L: 2.5 oz chicken salad (homemade) w/FF tortilla and bell pepper strips
