Hi Everyone, happy weekend!

I'm having a slow day today, major headache. I'm just relaxing until 3 PM, when my friend and I are heading out for a hike. Hopefully the fresh air will help.

QOTD: I'm most proud of the fact that I had RNY and now, at 11.5 weeks out, am down 72.8 Lbs and have been very active. I walk, ride my bike, and two days ago joined the local pool. I swam laps for an hour the first day back, and 45 minutes yesterday (pool got busy so for the rest of the hour I just did water exercises). I used to be active before, but never had great results weight loss wise. I mean, I'd lose, but gain it all back plus some. So this tool is wonderful and I feel like I'm on track, finally.

Menu:

Breakfast: Protein shake, tea with protein shake whitener, 2 strawberries.

Lunch: Ham

Supper: Steak, 2 tbsp veggies.

Snack: ? Possibly a cheese string, more herbal tea.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017

Good afternoon... I was up at 6:30 this morning because I had a personal training session at 7:45AM.... He had to cancel ours the other day, so this was the reschedule....had to get some caffeine in me, and some kind of food and still felt nauseous exercising that early.....

QOTD: Proud that I have stuck with exercising over this past 2+ years and now actually enjoy it. Proud that I have been willing to try new things like hiking and now running and joining a gym again. Living out of my comfort zone!

Since I started my new running/gym routine there are some days I am starving....today is one of them. So I have planned more food ....I won't eat it all if I don't feel the need. Calories are within my normal maintenance calories, just had been cutting back lately. Did see scale movement this week so I was happy about that.

B: Coffee Latte w/Fairlife/Miralax/SF Syrup - split before and after gym.
Wasa cracker with mayo and sliced Hard Boiled egg- before gym

S: Green Smoothie- after gym - whey, PB2, cashew milk, avocado, spinach, 2 tbsp oats.

L: 3oz sirloin steak, mushrooms and onions, sliced cucumber

S: Homemade trail mix, 4oz TJs Roast Turkey

D: Parmesan Cod, Brussel Sprouts

S: Chai Latte, Siggi's yogurt with 1/2c blueberries

Ex: Personal Training session at gym - done!

Good Aftetnoon! Super late post today since I slept in a bit this morning....I slept in my bed!!! Then we went out to run a few errands and had lunch out. First outing in over a week but I'm still taking it easy and will be taking a nap shortly.

QOTD: I'm proud of being patient about giving the reigns over to my hubby with all the household stuff during my recovery. It's challenging for me to sit and watch some of the things just "slide".

Menu: B: latte, eggbeaters, turkey sausage links, 1/2 an orange. L: Dickey's BBQ chicken kids plate with bacon green beans and 2 waffle fries I stole from hubby S: latte, yogurt, cashews, and jerky D: BBQ lettuce wrap cheeseburger with jalapeño bacon, carrots and Arctic zero

E: walking

W/V on track

Hope everyone has a great day!

Posting late today as we just got back in town. We drove 2 hours one way to help pass out food to the needy today. I walked 11/4 miles in the dark with Lily this am before we left at 7 and did our usual 3.2 miles when we got back home--plus I ran around and stood all morning too and still have energy to spare. QOTD I'm proud of both my son's and their success in college and now in their careers. I'm proud of myself for losing all my weight aND now maintaining for 4 years. And JB you should definitely be proud of all you do for your students. Our schools need more people like you. Post op 4 years almost 8 months and weight at 117.4 today. Here's the food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 4 oz grilled chicken and 1/4 c spinach greens D 31/2 oz salmon burger 1/2 c Tuscan veggie blend S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Hope to be here earlier tomorrow!
