What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I'm so proud of myself that I've been walking every day. Even yesterday when it was really overcast and looked like rain, I pulled a friend out to walk for about 2 miles. Today it is supposed to rain in the afternoon so I need to get my walk in early because I don't want to leave it for a late walk on the treadmill.
QOTD: When I was small, I was very sickly and was thin, but when I hit puberty at 8, all of a sudden people looked at me differently. Now I know that I was just experiencing normal growth, but I was so embarrassed and the kids teased me about being fat. Even the teachers weren't very understanding about and 8 year old having pubescent issues.
Breakfast: spinach egg muffin, Applegate turkey bacon
Snack: ice tea protein shake
Lunch: Trader Joe's Lemon grilled chicken
Snack: cottage cheese, applesauce
Dinner: salmon with zoodles
Exercise: long walk before it rains, maybe a second quick mile. Five laps around the halls of our office building is one mile and it makes a great pick me up when I get sleepy.

Unfortunately, I won't get to do water aerobics until this coming Tuesday. They had a spring break between sessions and there wasn't a class. We plan to go on Saturday though just to hang out and get used to the water again though! I'm so excited!

I do that too! I have a Fit2 (samsung) watch that vibrates twice when I've been inactive for 50 minutes- so I get up and walk down two flights, around the basement, outside and around the parking lot, then back in the front and up three flights to my desk. It's not a mile but it's a decent 3000 steps :)

Good Morning GrimBerry and Menu Family!
How sweet of Grim to come help you at the school, Julia! You've got a great man there!
QOTD: I was normal weight as a child, so I don't have any childhood memories of being overweight. My mother was really tiny, weight-wise and also she was only 5'4" and I grew to be 5'9" tall. I had a hard time when I grew taller than my mother because I felt like a mother should be taller than her child. I was 5'9" tall in middle school when all the boys were still short and I felt like a GIANT. I became anorexic in high school and got down to an unhealthy weight. People told me I looked sick, but I still thought I was too fat. In my 30's is when I really began to put on weight and it was dieting and weight gain from then on out.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: lettuce, chicken, cheese, low cal dressing
D: hamburger patty with cheese

QOTD: Lots of sad childhood "fatty" memories. I think there were girls "husky" clothes also that we had to buy. My last name as a child was a word for a board and I very clearly remember the taunting rhyme "Chubby, chubby 2 x 4 can't get through the bathroom door." Not a good memory. But that's hopefully in the past for good.

QOTD: I figured this out early (1st or 2nd grade), because this one girl in my class picked on me constantly about my weight. I *hated* her. And guess what? A couple of years ago I googled her, and she lives in my frickin' city now! 500 miles from the city where we both grew up! WTH??? The main source of my childhood trauma is following me around!!! Of course, I've run into her at least three times now. (she'd never recognize me - and wouldn't have when I was SMO, either - it's been way too long - but I recognized her right away because she's written a book (which I read), and her picture is on the back).
22 months out (maintenance - but losing again lately (???))

S: coffee with half & half, mint protein shake
