Hi!

I'm a newb, but there's a GREAT menu thread on here (Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery Forum (RNY)) you can join. Most folks use MyFitnessPal.com to log in every food they PLAN on eating and then post their planned menu to the new thread every morning. This does two things, 1. Forces you to think ahead and 2. forces you to hold yourself accountable.

I'm not even a month out and I've gotten some fabulous advice from people who have been through this all before.

Start posting your menu every day and read the feedback. Also, when your actual day is completed, go back into MyFitnessPal.com and update your food diary to what you ACTUALLY ate. It will quickly start to show you where your little minor indulgences come back to hurt you. For me (prior to surgery) it was the 2nd and 3rd glass of red wine... or maybe the warm bread dipped in olive oil... but there is always something there.

Last idea is that you might try the diet on here were you eat only meat for a week. I think it's AllMeatAllWeek or AMAW?

Good luck!
