has anyone had the same stats as me?
I was 52 and 5'6.5 inches when I had my surgery about 5 years ago. My starting weight was 273 and for the last 4 years I have weighed 118 to 120. My diabetes, high cholesterol and triglycerides and uncontrolled high blood pressure are all normal now. I went from a tight size 26 to a size 0 or 1. My life is active and healthy now and my surgery is the best decision I ever made. I didn't realize how much life I was missing out on. Best of your luck with your surgery. Follow your surgeons guidelines to a T and weigh and measure your food and you will have amazing results too. Before and after to follow.

I am the same height -- but I was more than 120 pounds more than you to start.

I am close. 5 foot 5. Highest weight 244, was 221 on the day of surgery. 38 years old. I am down to 147 6 months postop. Had RNY 10/24/17. I am feeling fantastic. Wouldn't change a thing.
*Disclaimer- I have not had a normal RNY experience. I developed significant ulcers 2 months post op and had to have a second RNY (revision) 4 months post op.
Here if you want to chat :)
