Ugh. Please give me advice!
I did something really dumb. On Easter I ate way, way too much and had awful nausea and diarrhea. Ever since then, I'm nauseous whenever I eat. I never vomited. I have a regular follow up Friday with the surgeon. Should I just assume I overstretched my pouch and wait to see if it goes away, or call him now?

MsKitty...
There is (virtually) no such thing as stretching your pouch.
There is, however, upsetting your stomach with too much of the wrong stuff, which is what it sounds like happened here.
I would say if you have an appointment on Friday, this probably isn't a big emergency so long as you can still take in water. But if you are truly concerned about your health and safety, call them. The human body, though, has a good tool it can use when you can't eat many calories (it's called FAT!) but lack of water will get you fast. So drink water and like I said, call your medical folks if you feel like you are having an immediate health crisis.
RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
When my pouch is "grouchy" (sometimes caused by me, sometimes not). I give it a rest for 24 hours - no solid food - protein drinks, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, jello, etc. Usually I can eat solid food after the 24 hours.
You will have to see what will work for you. Also what works at 5 months out, may not work at 9 months out, etc. After 8 years post RNY, my pouch still trips me up from time to time. I can't always determine how my pouch will react.

I have learned (yep, the hard way) not to push my pouch. If I feel nauseous and I know it's not hunger, I just drink whatever I think will sit well. My pouch is seriously the boss in these situations.
As my surgeon says, listen to your body.
