Happy Hump Day! We are half way to the weekend, whoo!

Yesterday I felt sort of yucky all day. I felt like I was swimming in acid reflux, which is a feeling I have barely experienced since revision, and a feeling I did not miss. It finally passed last night, but I just had a few sips of coffee and it is back this morning. Ugh. I really hope this is not the beginning symptoms of a hernia or ulcer!

The only thing that was good about the acid was that I was not too interested in food...((even candy!))...so I stuck to my menu. However, I also skipped my run, and did 45 minutes on the elliptical, instead.

QOTD: Are there any commercials that are making you laugh, these days? Grim and I laugh every time that stupid Arby's Commercial comes on with the tagline "We Have the Meat". Certified. Smokified. Baconfied. I also laugh every time I hear the ad for the Alpha Romero Giulia, because it really feels like targeted advertising when I hear from across the room, "See you around...Julia". Makes my head turn every time :)

I watch almost no tv that hasn't been recorded so I almost never watch commercials...lol

Good morning JB and Menu Crew!

JB: Good luck on whatever it is thats causing the reflux feeling. I dont miss that feeling at all. At least theres a bright side in that you're not interested in food, but still. I'm hoping nothings wrong and its just a fluke.

How was everyone's spring break/easter weekend? Mine was good. My sister had her baby girl on Wednesday and I was up in DC/Northern VA from thursday to easter sunday. I was able to visit my sister in the hospital, meet my niece, visit my former office and meet with them about current freelance projects, lunch with a friend and catch up, and then do easter mass with my parents & son & Nephew and throw the little boys a low key easter egg hunt in the front yard. It was all so super cute

I found time this morning to post! Yey for me! I realize i need to get back to basics because in the last couple of months I've apparently called in the carb monster and she just wont leave! I don't overdo it (because i physically can't) but I know a lot of things make it into my mouth that arent part of my daily high protein plan (like cadbury mini eggs, a handful of teddy grahams, or a hawaiian roll)! I havent lost anything since late february. Infact i am up 2 lbs. It's frustrating and I know it all rests in my hands and is all essentially my fault. Its like I know what I need to do (reach for the isopure rather than a protien bar, for instance, drink more water throughout the day, etc) but my brain is falling into old ways where there are fleeting but crucial moments that it just doesnt care.

QOTD: There are many commercials that stand out but I cant seem to remember them. The only one that I can think of at the moment Pepto Bismol commercials that have that song with they lyrics "Indigestion, upset stomach, constipation, diarreheah." Those are pretty funny.

Exercise: My gym days are tuesday and thursday, so today the plan is 30-40 min walk at lunch. I made it to Bodypump (60 min weight training class) last night for the first time in 2 weeks. Tomorrow I'm doing Body Attack (60 min cardio/interval class) at the gym as well.
