What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?t
on 4/18/17 2:37 pm
Great job sticking to your menu, yesterday. I'm going to follow your lead today :)
Not a specific person, but I'd be a storm chaser! I'm fascinated by severe weather, and I would have already tried getting myself in the middle of it if not for having kids!
I was supposed to work out with my trainer last night, but when I got there and told him I hadn't felt well over the weekend and that Jon was fighting a low grade fever and congestion, he sent me home. So I will try to get in a work out myself (in addition to walking) Wednesday and then I'm going to see him Saturday. Jon and I are going up to our camp (without kids!) Thursday - Saturday. HEY OH!

OK, You know I am compiling my list of everything to put the Everything Spice on...Bought 2 more bottles yesterday-- just in case #Obsessed.
So the pinwheels...is the salmon making the pinwheel or is there a low carb tortilla involved. This is brilliant as it would also make my other list of how to get my lox and cream cheese fix without a bagel being involved....
Continue to be obsessed with the scale...brain oh brain would you stop??? I would like to say I have been on a sugar binge but I haven't ...my faux pas on Easter were one piece of chocolate someone handed me at church, A chocolate dipped strawberry at my girlfriend's house and one glass red wine with dinner... no potatoes, rice or bread....I would say my faux pas right now is not eating scheduled, eating too little during the day and shakes and then too often at night because hunger eventually hits..... On to plan #3 to see if I lose the few pounds- first I got rid of faux carbs- last week reduced cheese dramatically- just had a little Parmesan I think twice...nothing and nothing with those changes....so keeping those moratoriums in place on those this week... Going to ixnay the protein drinks with cashew milk.... Since I discovered I like them shaken with cashew milk I have been having them a lot as snacks.... going to up my dense protein game and eat that for snacks... Baggies o'meat here we come :)
QOTD: Years ago I used to do new client orientation at my job, and I used this exercise as an ice breaker. I would always say Oprah Winfrey. She was on the air at the time- and I said for one day, I could have a forum to speak on whatever subject I thought was important and millions of people would be listening. Plus I could go shopping and spend some of her money. Designer handbags here I come!
B: Coffee Latte w/fairlife/miralax TJ Roast Turkey
L: Pork carnitas, veggie
S: Chicken soup w/4oz chicken
S2: (on way to support) Baggie of steak

Ex: PT and Personal Trainer later ... Going directly from Personal Training to Support group- this is one a WLS peep runs not hospital, so that is why baggie of meat on the way....

I just found some premade pinwheels in the fancy cheese section of the grocery store that are simply smoked salmon and cream cheese rolled up. I'm adding the bagel spice for flavor:)
Oprah was my first pic, but I'm currently mad at her for those terrible Weigh****chers ads... lol.
Oh my gosh yes... those WW ads.

Those WW ads infuriate me! She's struggled all her life with overeating/overweight issues... and now suddenly, because she OWNS the place... WW is the hidden secret for her? I think not.
I also think her and Gayle need to set Stedman free and come out of the closet already

Ok when she starts yelling to that poor woman about how she "loooooves chips, too" I generally scream back at the tv, "we know, Oprah...that's why you are still fat!". I mean come on! I don't mean to fat-shame her, but she is not a thin woman and we are supposed to all be ignoring that as she tells us that she holds the secret to weight loss!?!? I don't think so.
Hey everyone! Nothing interesting from my end of the world, more of the same. And I'll say the same is getting old ::sigh::
QOTD: I'd want to be my son for a day. He's so laid back and quiet, its hard to know what's going on in his head. I just would love to make sure his persona isn't a front. Of course I watched 13 reason why this weekend, so I'm more inclined to figure out how my kids feels about life.
198 today (WTF territory- must be some water weight, but my eating hasn't been 100% either); 23 months out.
M1: Greek yogurt, berries, granola
M2: 4 turkey sausage link, nature valley bar
M3: 4 oz ham/roast beef, 4 oz rice & peas

My son mentioned this show to me... on Netflix, right? It sounds terribly sad, yet I'm intrigued... I need to get one of the kids to rat out their dad's password so I can get on his Netflix account and watch it

I watched it too- ended up staying up all night Saturday - until about ten on Sunday. I found it very relevant. I felt like I could relate to all but a couple of the characters. Rang true to my life experiences, and I felt it was also very current. I'm watching it again with my roommate.
