What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?t
You are preaching to the choir there JB. All I REALLY wanted for easter was a chocolate covered marshmallow and I got one last night (or 2 but ate 1). It is a russell stovers which I settled for because I wanted a peep chocolate covered one. I did eat it last night but ate yogurt with it to counter balance the sugar attack. It didn't work well and I didn't sleep well last night. :( I put the rest in freezer that I bought. I also ate 2 little malted milk balls.
16 months post op / 124 lbs today / maintenance diet
chickens are doing well so far. they got to try lettuce and alfalfa sprouts and plain yogurt so far. oh and egg shells. they are starting to test out their wing power, especially the older ones now.
today is another reset day for me. coffee/ premier prot as creamer/miralax/gizzards/not really sure on dinner, I bought DH the Rana cheese filled pasta and we have ham leftovers so I think we will be having that. I may not eat any more ham to be honest for a while, it really is a salt bomb.
QOTD: I think I would like to be an a list star on an awards night, maybe sandra bulloch. I want to see just what is in those swag bags and get to pick out the most gorgeous gown ever. probably drink and eat too much and crash in the bed at the end.

Red Carpet night would be awesome. It must be so fun to see all the stars even if you are a star yourself :)
I know the sugar attack sucks, but all I can say is...be glad you have them! I didn't even feel queasy.
Good morning all! I managed all day yesterday well but did NOT resist the Cadbury mini eggs last night. I will be glad when the kids' damned easter candy is gone, it cannot be soon enough.
QOTD: Interesting question--I think maybe it sounds better than it would actually be. Although I sometimes envy the lives of others, I don't know that I actually would want to be in anyone else's shoes, even for a day. But, if pressed I would say maybe a National Geographic photographer who is doing an African wildlife shoot. I have always wanted to go to Africa.

National Geographic photographer would be amazing. Adding that to my bucket list...
I'm not sure if I told you guys, but I'm three weeks into my yoga/meditation classes for the research study I'm in (on the effects of yoga/meditation on stress level and sense of well-being), and I must admit, I've had a noticeable drop in my stress level the last 3 or 4 days. Maybe it's a fluke - or maybe this is working!! I have to either meditate or do mindful yoga every day for at least 45 minutes. Some days I'm really resistant to it, but I force myself to do it - and I'll have to continue doing this until November. But this may end up being a really good thing. I ordered some yoga equipment yesterday so I can do even more poses at home (and maybe having new equipment will make it more fun???). Stay tuned...
QOTD: I don't know if I'd want to be any particular individual, but I'd really like to be a male for a day - or African American, or Asian - just to see what it would be like.
22 months out (maintenance)

oh yea - I've heard her youtube videos are great - I'll take a look at them for sure.
I like all kinds of yoga (i.e., if it's gentle), but for the class requirement I'm focusing on Yin, since it's super easy to make that "mindful" (in fact, some instructors bring in the mindfulness thing - telling you to focus on your breathing or sensations in your body instead of letting your mind wander. But even if they don't, it's an easy form to do that with on my own since you do mostly gentle stretches and twists and hold them for a long time - very easy to focus on my breathing while doing that!!). But outside of the class requirement, I do gentle vinyasa, etc, too - so it really doesn't matter what style Adrienne specializes in - I'll take a look at it for sure!! Thanks for the prompt!!

Ah sounds lovely. I could use some mindfulness...
