Hi Pammie! How are you gorgeous? I am doing okay... lots going on in my world right now with me (long story) but my Mom is doing really well, she starts radiation next week and is tolerating the new anti-estrogen meds well. My Dad continues to be monitored for his heart condition, we will know more in July when he goes and see's the surgeon again.

I am working through some personal issues right now and its exhausting but I have great support from my husband and some great friends so onward right!

Hope you and the family are all well and getting ready for Summer!

Thanks for checking in

I am so proud of you Chris for how dedicated you are to this post WLS life, you rock my friend! Yay on no Easter candy!

I am so sorry to hear about your serious case of gout! Oh man I hear that is extremely painful! Are you being followed by a Doctor? You don't want it to get out of hand and plus no one should suffer in pain especially you my friend! You get that looked after. Summer is coming and you will want to be out more being a bit more active now that you are down 100 + pounds, go you!!

I know you post late day or evening but just wanted to say Thank you for being so supportive of all the menu posters and for coming here every day!

I just discovered ground turkey! I made my taco meat with ground turkey and a package of the Old El Paso Spicy taco seasoning and oh man is it good!!! My pouch is not a fan of ground beef so the ground turkey is amazing! I sprinkle a tbsp of shredded Mexican cheese on top, let it melt and few splashes of hot sauce and viola dinner! I actually don't mind tofu. There are lots of flavours you can add to tofu. I am thinking brown the tofu up and throw it in with your garlic broccoli rabe and there is dinner. Get your fingers busy on the net looking for tofu recipes LOL

I really hope you get the gout looked after and get out of pain. Be well my friend. Keep up the awesome work!

HUGS, Daisy

Hi Daisy,

Thank you soo much for all of your support. My gout attack is on the mend but I am planning on following up with my PCP for a treatment plan. I hope he is willing to go the natural route with the tart cherry extract pills and celery seed. So far the epsom salt soaks, ice, and even more water than I already drink is helping a lot. I can walk 10 or 20 steps now without a walker. It's progress!

Thanks for the idea of the ground trukey with taco seasoning. I actually make up my own seasoning blend that I found on pinterest so I can control the salt and what a great idea for the tofu with the broccoli rabe! Grim should love that recipe! LOL!!

I have been looking all over for good tofu recipes and have found a few good ones to try. If they work out well I will share them with everyone.

I'm so happy to hear things are getting better with your family. That is great news!

Take care of yourself, Chris

Most baked beans have way too much brown sugar or molasses added for me to be able to eat them too. Over my sugar limit for sure and yours too I guess.
