Oh wait... I guess I have that thought process backwards... Damnit!!!

It was that kind of thinking that got me where I was... "Well it's not like if I DON'T EAT THIS I'LL LOSE 5 LBS"... that's how I used to do it... That didn't work so well...

Gotta climb back on the laser-focused way of thinking!!! I'm so afraid that if I am constantly wanting 10 more lbs, that it'll turn into 50 more lbs...and so on... sigh.

And it's only 11 and my tummy is growling... SMH... Gonna go heat up more meat, and see if I can't struggle through this with dense proteins until the gnawing desire to eat diminishes a bit.

I have toyed with the "what I ate yesterday" instead of what I plan to eat. I have decided to keep on posting what I plan because it has become part of my routine to plan in the process of making the post...especially what I want to make for dinner. But yes...the day often goes a different direction for me than I planned. I do edit MFP accordingly throughout the day and evening so I do have it recorded for me to look back on. If my weight goes up or down I can peek back and see what was going on. I like your "1 Year+ Out" thread concept. I would join in.

June 27th, I think that's the date... we'll be back in Austin! (Probably no fun as far as going out, but coffee or a break will be necessary with you!) And I think I'll be there for a week at the least.

I'm working on losing a regain ... and the thing I keep reminding myself about is that ...if I'm really hungry then I will think anything protein forward and food legal will do... if its "brainhunger" then I'm usually focused on something specific that I want... sticking to an appropriate food plan is best...

I refuse to post my actuals, because it seems so defeatist... I stick to my menu about 90% of the time, but I drop a meal/snack and add something else here and there often enough that I admit, my posted morning menu isn't really "real" every day, anymore. But I think if I stopped making a goal and a plan, I would go waaay further off the rails. I literally look back on my phone throughout the day to remind myself what I am supposed to be eating if I am hungry.

I have food weighed out and portioned in freezer containers, and about 90% of the time I eat those for B and L... and even D I manage to make something 'legal'(and weighed).. it's the handful of nuts... or 3... the meat stick or beef jerky... the pork rinds, the squirt of whipped cream...

All that stuff that I ADD during the day...

Maybe I need to just add another meal in there after lunch, and before dinner... pure lean protein... maybe that would help.

Really, I just need to get my brain back into the game and play by the original rules. Good for me or not, extra snacking isn't working to lose weight, even if it's on the 'approved' list of OK things to eat! (but apparently I can do it and maintain... for now! LOL)

Good morning guys!

I can't decide if the word of the day is 'stressed' or 'crazy'....because I feel like it's both. I'm paying business taxes today, I've already been to the orthodontist this morning, picked up my mother-in-law from the car place, and the day isn't even half done. I like being busy, but when I'm this busy I get stressed out. The nice thing about all this is that I finally don't have the urge to stress eat....yay for therapy and healing and whatever it is my brain has done to finally get to this point. We had a nice weekend, laid back...and my son had a BALL with hunting eggs yesterday. I don't know if I've ever seen a kid so excited...he was moving so fast it was hard to get any pictures

QOTD: I'm a terrible sleeper....I use the sleep patches from Patch MD which help me fall asleep but as for staying asleep, it's a crapshoot...sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Once I'm awake, I'm usually awake...brain won't stop. I will read, or just give up and get up depending on the day. This weekend I was up at 3am with a toothache, so that made the morning interesting.

Menu:

My 3am toothache was from something getting caught between the spacers and my gums.....so I'm on soft foods for a couple of weeks, urgh. I forsee lots of protein shakes and yogurt in my future!

B: Plain greek yogurt w/strawberries (it's strawberry season here yay!) and coffee w/sf creamer

S: Strawberries

L: Protein Shake
