What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning JB and Menu family!
We had a nice Easter lunch and then helped paint the logo on a drink stand the boys are making. Came home and took the dogs for a walk in the beautiful weather. Last night I watched the movie, "Heaven is for Real", which was set in Nebraska and is a true story. It was very good!
QOTD: I take Melatonin when I go to bed and also Klonopin (prescription) for a sleep disorder (RLS), so those help me fall asleep pretty easily. My dog wakes me up in the night at least once, but I can usually go back to sleep again. I also often take a nap during the day, too.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: lettuce, chicken, cheese, low cal dressing
D: hamburger patty with cheese
S: light n fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking the dog(s) around the subdivision
Have a great Monday everyone!
~ Karen

I take Requip for my RLS. Loved that movie!

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
Good morning folks! I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend even if it didn't involve chocolate bunnies!
I didn't spend time with my family this year because they live further than I wanted to drive this soon after surgery. It was relaxing and I did lots of walking.
I had planned to go to a noontime yoga class at work this week, but I reread the exercise instructions from my surgeon and he specifically says no yoga for a few more weeks. Oh well, it will be there when my body is ready. I do star****er aerobics tomorrow though, so I'm excited about that!
Also I am happy that the scale is moving down again today. I'm only a few pounds from Onederland and hoping to make it this week.
QOTD: Fortunately, I don't usually have trouble sleeping thanks to some of the meds that I take regularly. When I do, I usually read because watching TV or surfing the Internet stimulate my brain and make it impossible to go back to sleep.
Breakfast: egg beaters
Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake
Lunch: baked salmon
Snack: cottage cheese and homemade applesauce
Dinner: Chicken Tikka Masala with riced cauliflower
Exercise: 40 minute walk in my hilly neighborhood

Enjoy water aerobics! So funny how surgeon programs are different--I was cleared for yoga before anything in the water...
short one for me- busy weekend, made choc PB muffins for DH, worked on closet organizing and room organizations yesterday. scale not my friend and the smorgasboard of ham yesterday did NOT help scale matters this morning. worked with the baby chickens etc.
16 month post op / 124 / maintenance diet
QOTD: usually veg out on couch and watch something on TV or pintrest/shop
Today- reset to gizzards and veggies
What kind of baby chicks did you get? I think you saw my post about the ones I got on Friday... but then someone in my little town posted about easter egger chicks... and I think I just bought 5-8 more! Shhhh... I'll just stick them in there with the rest of the babies, and hopefully no one will know any better!
I'll just say the easter bunny must have made them multiply!
Not all of them will live. This I know. And not all of them will be hens, unfortunately... which means... rooster chicken to eat in a few months!

Good morning! It's a Monday and I am trying to commit myself to come here everyday and post. It's just difficult to make time with the new job, it is much more demanding than my old one. This week was a crap fest of sugar, also need to reset from that and concentrate on getting this last 10 pounds off towards my goal weight.
QOTD: I rarely have difficulty sleeping, just in the early mornings my back wakes me up, but it's usually time to get up by then anyway.
B- light & fit yogurt and blueberries & 1T granola
L- 4 oz grilled chicken with mayo, lettuce, tomato
D- not sure
Totals- cals will be under 800, will have to push to get protein to 80
Have a wonderful day!
